"So these are all the gifts we received?"

In the hall, Davis sat as Bylai and Zestria sat around an array of treasures. Myriad colors shone from them, indicating they were of many attributes, but none of them seemed to be very useful for him.

Bylai nodded, "Yes, these are all Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Grade Treasures, but mostly armaments, which we wouldn't be using. Instead, I think we can sell or auction them off for Immortal Crystals, but we're not poor either. It's problematic as we don't know what to do with them…"

"Who cares?" Zestria giggled, "We can give it all to Sophie for reforging."

"That won't do." Sophie shook her head, "Some armaments might have spirits. I don't want to kill them for no reason."

"Oh, I'm sorry." Zestria's expression turned awkward, "I didn't think of the armament spirits."

"That's alright." Sophie shook her head, appearing to have not taken offense but was even bothered that she made Zestria apologize, "Most armament spirits would not bother to talk and, because of the lack of emotional attachment, wouldn't bother if they live or die. They get tired of only being used and thrashed around by their masters."

Davis blinked, suddenly feeling guilty.

He took out his scythe and held it in his hand, tracing his palm over its pitch-black and luminous white blade.

"Yama, do you want to die?"

"Please spare me, master."

Yama's voice shuddered as its scythe blade trembled.

It had no idea why it would be summoned out of nowhere and asked if it wanted to die, but it knew it wouldn't be anything good. It initially thought that there would be enemies to cut down, but it doesn't seem like the case with the situation around.

"Well, as long as you have the will to live…"

Davis nodded and let go of Yama, allowing it to float as it cast a look around, appearing curious.

The others narrowed their eyes, wondering how it was able to maintain its sanity as it was a deathly armament, but Sophie knew why as when she upgraded it, it was also refined from a life-attributed ore obtained from the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palace.

Davis summoned another armament, which caused space to twist ever so slightly at the sharp edge of the blade and was dense in its presence as though it was pulling everything closer.

It was none other than Lancelot, the Golden Sheen Obsidian Spear.

Davis looked at its obsidian blade and golden rod that made it appear deadly and regal. It had been upgraded to a Peak-Level Immortal King Grade Spear by Sophie, but Davis didn't take it out to use it despite keeping it with him.

He inwardly sighed, feeling sorry for it before he threw it to Bylai.

Bylai was startled as she didn't expect to throw the black-gold spear toward her. She quickly caught it but felt her entire body sink along with its weight if she didn't put more weight into it.

Her eyes trembled, knowing the immense power it withheld within its black-gold frame.

"Bylai, you can have Lancelot. It's a Peak-Level Immortal King Grade Spear which has been upgraded through refining the ores of Gold Laws."

"Gold Laws…"

Bylai could definitely feel that it was a perfect weapon for her, but feeling the spear tremble, she loosened her grip on it.

Instantly, it flew out of her grasp and appeared near Davis.

"Master… I don't want to be abandoned…"

Lancelot's voice was ethereal and soft sounding as it begged, causing Davis to frown.

"Really? I never had the opportunity to use you, and I went for Yama. Even when I had so many targets to kill, like the Feral Beasts, I didn't use you. But don't misunderstand. It's not like I don't want you, but it is difficult for me to comprehend two armament intents at the same time. Therefore, it's better for you to be with Bylai. She can use you to your fullest capability and treat you better."

"No… I… I don't want to leave Master's side…"

Lancelot's golden rod bent ever so lightly as though it was incredibly sad.

The sight caused Davis to sigh as he felt like he really didn't have the time to comprehend Spear Laws nor use Lancelot to its fullest capability.

Lancelot passionately voiced out, seeming to have become energized as its undulations reverberated in the hall.

"Davis… I have something to say…"

Sophie interjected, causing Davis to look expectantly at her.

"Of course, I'll always depend on you to forge and upgrade Yama and Lancelot."

"I'm honored," Sophie giggled, "And it is as you guessed. Back then, when I upgraded Lancelot, I didn't have the courage to use a particular ore, but now, I think I can try my hand at it and even succeed if Bylai gives me a hand."

"Oh? Then I'll leave it in your hands for the time being."

Davis waved his hand and allowed Lancelot to fly into Sophie's hands.

Lancelot didn't resist. It knew when it was in the hands of this blonde-haired, purple-eyed woman, it was going to become even stronger.

Sophie saw how excited Lancelot was and couldn't help but giggle lightly.

The armament spirits were enigmatic and rarely spoke. Some would even turn mad from the amount of killing they have committed as the souls of the dead would corrupt their own. She wanted to study more about their life cycle, but she could not find the time as she was already incredibly busy with Forging, Inscriptions, Runes, and Aurelia.

"Oh yeah, what kind of ore are you going to use to upgrade Lancelot?"

Sophie still saw that they were unresponsive. She loved it as she felt like she achieved something big. However, she didn't let this get to her head.
