Chapter 647: Abandoned

“President, what do you want to say?”

Chen Zhao grabbed in the darkness without warning.

No one knew what he was doing.

Woolie, who was invisible, was stunned.

Chen Zhao picked up Woolie’s walkie talkie and asked, “How do you use this?”

“President, you just press this. You don’t have to change channels.”

Chen Zhao pressed the speaking button. “Hi, I’m the president of the Supernatural Organization. You’re surrounded now. Put down your weapons, undo your spells, and wait for us to arrest you all. Otherwise, I’ll raid your nest under the charges of disrupting law and order, personal injury, and intentional murder.”

Everyone in the Family had uncomfortable expressions.

“Grandfather, Woolie is dead.”

Hopkins, Torila, and the Grandfather were all livid.

“Seems like we’ve underestimated them.”

By now, the Family had reached the outside of the pyramid.

“What do we do now?”

The ancient pyramid was right before them. The foundation stone was right inside.

The clingy Supernatural Organization was right behind them.

Actually, the Family was indeed established with familial relationships, such as ‘Grandfather,”Father,’ and ‘Mother,’ but they were still a group of outsiders.

To them, their own interests were the most important.

If it wasn’t necessary or worked out easily, they weren’t willing to abandon their own benefits to take revenge for the others.

But the Supernatural Organization clearly wasn’t planning on forgiving them. They took the initiative to come looking for them and had breached the relic too.

“Lure out the Crypt Demons,” the Grandfather said. “Have them take care of the Supernatural Organization. I don’t believe they’re able to defeat the demons too.”

Everyone’s eyes flashed. This was indeed a good plan.

“Ackson, you go,” the Grandfather said. “You’re a ground crawler. As long as you go underground, the Crypt Demons won’t be able to do anything to you.”

Even though Ackson was a ground crawler, he couldn’t stay underground forever.

Just like with swimming, he had to come out to breathe too.

Moving between different terrains and soils used up different amounts of mana too.

The pyramid was made completely out of stone. Even though he could move underground, it used up a lot of mana.

Ackson’s invisibility effect was undone.

Instantly, he sensed a bloody aura. Something discovered him.

Ackson didn’t dare to hesitate further and quickly dug underground.

He went inside the pyramid and after wriggling underground for a moment, he came out.

He saw a few huge Crypt Demons in the distance.

They discovered him too and immediately pounced toward him.

He hurriedly ducked back underground and continued moving.

He was acting as the bait now. Soon, a large group of Crypt Demons was behind him.

Ackson wanted to lure some Crypt Demons on the upper level.

Suddenly, he felt a blood-chilling aura coming from the entrance of the stairs to the upper level.

That thing was so terrifying!

Was it the frightening thing that the Grandfather mentioned?

Ackson could only leave the stairs and continue luring on this level.

Soon, there were a dozen demons behind him.

Ackson came above ground every now and then to ensure that the Crypt Demons would continue chasing after him.

“Grandfather, hurry… Make me invisible.”

Ackson sped up to the exit of the pyramid.

Or he could stay underground and be trapped forever.

In the end, he chose to come out.

Any random sound could make the Crypt Demons sensitive.
