Chapter 63: Chapter 63 model construction

The arrow Chu Yunsheng shot hit the man next to the long-faced man, but the man wasn’t injured, he was only disrupted by it. However, the impact was powerful enough to cause him to reveal his weakness, two red-eyed monsters instantly noticed the chance and started to dive down.

The man was instantly wrapped by one of the monsters. Even though he used all his energy to pull one of the monsters away, he was already heavily wounded. Another one did not give him any chance to recover, it immediately dived at him again. The man was already exhausted with energy, he did not struggle very long before he was completely melted into a pile of blood.

Chu Yunsheng successfully ambushed one person, so he continued to pull the string, hoping that he could disrupt them even more. His accuracy was very low, so he missed many shots, but luckily they were busy fighting the monsters, so no one noticed his arrows.

After Commander Du’s troops killed all the monsters, he had also ambushed another three people.

After he counted again, there were only sixteen people in the long-faced man’s group now. It seemed like the long-faced man had lost a couple of his men in the past few days.

He didn’t want to stay here too long as well. The heavy blood smell could attract more monsters, so the longer he stayed here the more dangerous it would be.

However, things didn’t always turn out as expected. When he just finished storing the bodies, he noticed that the fog not far from them slowly turned red, it was illuminated by some kind of moving red light spots. Then gradually those blurry red light spots appeared in the fog, they were red-eyed monsters, more than thirty of them!

Chu Yunsheng was startled. He immediately grabbed Yao Xiang and ran towards the nearest fog wall in the east.

While retreating, he also had to prevent the monster getting too close to him. Luckily, there was Yao Xiang supporting him.

He was constantly swinging the sword to knock away the monsters that were diving at him, the sharp Qian Bi sword could injure most of them easily.

However, the number of monsters didn’t seem to reduce any, it only seemed to increase and it was increasing rapidly.

Seeing this, Chu Yunsheng increased his speed again, at the same time, he also dragged Yao Xiang, who was running slower than him.

After they arrived in section five, they started to carefully look for the traces that might lead them to Commander Du’s troop, but they didn’t find any.

So Chu Yunsheng once again crossed the fog wall. From section five to section one, and then section seven, and section four, they searched again and again, until they saw the troop at section nine.

Five days later, the troop’s location: Jin Jiang building.

“Commander, we are suffering heavy losses, the awakened warriors’ leader Gan doesn’t have many men left!” said Staff officer Tao, who seemed to be very concerned.

In the past few days, his troop didn’t suffer many losses. However, no one knows why many of Gan Ziqiang’s awakened warriors died continuously.

If they carried on dying at this rate, then the whole team would disappear before they even had a chance to escape Kun city, not to mention they needed to go to Jin Ling city.

Gazing at the fog outside the window, Du Qishan knitted his eyebrows and said slowly, “Lao Tao, don’t you think it is a little bit strange? With the same strength, how come only the awakened humans in our troop survived? And why are most of the dead awakened humans from Gan Ziqiang’s group?”

Staff officer Tao nodded his head and said sternly, “yes, I suspect that some people made it happen, but why are they just focusing on Gan Ziqiang, but not our men?”

Du Qishan gave him a helpless smile and then sighed, “I already know who that man is. I know he would not give up that easily. Since that day he left, I already had a bad feeling, I knew this day would come!”

Staff officer Tao was puzzled. “Who is he?”

Du Qishan had a wry smile on his face, “do you remember that before we entered Kun city, we met a powerful awakened human? When I asked him to join us, he refused. Later on, he and Gan Ziqiang had a conflict, I came forward to stop him. He backed off and left the group, perhaps, he has been following us and secretly seeking revenge.”

Staff officer Tao was surprised, he quickly asked, “are you saying it was Chu Yunsheng? The man you told us that he had a fight with more than thirty awakened warriors just by himself!”

Du Qishan couldn’t help but nod his head and said, “yes, it is him, I can’t think of any other people that could follow us this long without being noticed by us, only he has this kind of ability!”

The staff officer Tao bowed his head and thought for a moment and then said, “Commander, do you know how powerful he is?”

Du Qishan said, “I do not know, I may have underestimated his ability before, so there is no way to tell how powerful he is now, but this is not important now. Oh, how is Professor Sun’s research progressing now?”
