Chapter 73 - Cute Side of President Li

Li Zhiqiang smiled after listening to Jing Lihua's proclamation. He wanted to say something but just then he received multiple messages. He picked up his phone and glanced at the screen. "I have to go and take care of the office matter for now." He looked frustrated. It was long after he had a true reunion with his JingJing. He didn't want to leave her side. "Li Xun has messed up somethings. He still needs to learn a lot."

"It's alright. I also have to leave to attend the fashion show anyway." Jing Lihua could understand how busy of a person he was. It was already commendable that he found enough time to be with her whole day.

"Do you want me to drop you by?"

"There is no need. I don't want to delay you. Besides, it will be best if we keep our relationship secret for now. I'm still married and rumors might not be good for my company..." Suddenly, Jing Lihua felt the temperature drop and glanced at Li Zhiqiang. She saw his face was darkening. She almost gulped. She needed to e careful around him. She still recalled he was very possessive around her. Instead, she couldn't understand how did he let her marry Su Liwei in the first place.

If it was the same Li Zhiqiang as she remembered, he would have killed Su Liwei a thousand times by now.

"Are you scared of rumors?" The temperature continued to fall as he said. "You don't need to care about that. I'm very interested to see who in the whole mainland China would dare to say something about me and you... and makes my JingJing worry." There were dark clouds hovering his head that would make one feel oppressed by a mere look.

Jing Lihu didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. She felt pity for those towards whom his anger was directed. But at the same time... she felt... weirdly happy.

"Of course! I would never doubt your influence!" Jing Lihua coughed. She quickly mediated the situation. "How about this? After the fashion show ends, you take me to see Li Xun?" She had a bright smile.

Her smile was effective because it softened him. After that, the temperature finally started to stop to go further down. "Good. I'll pick you up at nine."

Jing Lihua sighed in relief.

"If anyone tries to bully you, just give me a call." Li Zhiqiang reached out his hand and pat Jing Lihua's head.

Jing Lihua: "..."

She was at a loss not knowing what to say. She dumbly stared at him. Before she could do anything, he laughed at her reaction and strode out of the penthouse without looking back.

"You are a grown-up man. Would you still do something childish like that?" Jing Lihua remembered that he used to have an obsession with patting her back then. She always glared at him when he did that. But secretly she liked it. She laughed. "I wonder what would be the people's reaction when they learned that the great 'Devil' has such a cute side to himself."

Like Li Zhiqiang had said before, the side he showed to her was completely different from the side he showed to the whole world. Thinking about it, Jing Lihua smiled. She felt lucky to be able to witness such side of the great President Li.

Breaking out of her thoughts, Jing Lihua picked up a package from the couch. Earlier that day, Li Zhiqiang, being thoughtful, had asked his secretary to deliver a dress for her. Li Zhiqiang had already shown her the way around the penthouse so she easily found the bathroom. She took a quick bath and slipped into the dress. Surprisingly, it's fabric was very soft and it fitted her perfectly.

"No, you didn't do that..." Jing Lihua laughed as she curiously inspected the tag on the dress. "Of course it is President Li. Affording such expensive things wouldn't even make him bat an eye."

Since the fashion show would have already started by the time she went back, Jing Lihua had to properly prepare. She applied some makeup and wore the jewelry that was sent with the dress. Jing Lihua didn't care about such things but being the President of the Tang enterprise, she had to maintain her image.

It was a duty more than a hobby.

When Jing Lihua reached the foot of the Sunset square, in the same luxurious garage, a car was waiting for her. 'So thoughtful'. Jing Lihua climbed into the car and checked her phone. There were a few messages from Xiu Mei, about ten messages from Zhao Liying and two messages fro Mo Liang.

"Where are you, President?"

"Why did you not arrive back at the hotel?"

"We are worried about your safety. Please inform us where you are."

Jing Lihua felt guilty and quickly replied to Mei Xiu to inform her she was alright and on her way back. When Jing Lihua opened Zhao Liying's message, her head went numb.

"Stop the car!"

The driver was frightened at Jing Lihua's sudden explosion. He quickly pulled the breaks. Without any explanation, Jing Lihua climbed out of the car. The car had just exited the skyscr.a.p.er. Jing Lihua walked down the way and reached a garage.

"There you are." With a smile that wasn't exactly a happy one, she walked to Zhao Liying van and pushed open the door forcefully.

"Mam you..." The driver glanced at Jing Lihua but shut up when he saw who it was and how scary expression she had.

Both Mo Liang and Zhao Liying were sound asleep. Mo Liang was even snoring. Jing Lihua looked into the car and after some contemplation closed the door. She walked away, leaned against a wall at a distance and called Zhao Liying. After the fourth ring, she picked up.

"Xiao Hua...?"

"Where are you?" Jing Lihua's voice was cold.

"At the fashion show of course. Why do you ask?" Zhao Liying quickly shook Mo Laing attempting to wake him. The later only shrugged her off.

"Are you sure you are at the fashion show?"

"Y-Yes...?"

"And what if you are not?"

"Xiao Hua, why are you asking such absurd questions. If not at the fashion show then where else would I..." Before she could finish, the door of the van was pushed open.

"You were saying?" Jing Lihua raised her eyebrow.
