Chapter 62 - She is not here for him.

Jing Lihua walked towards the upper floor. The hotel manager was standing at the end looking quite petrified. Jing Lihua didn't understand the situation.

"Ms. Jing, let me guide you to your new room. Pardon my previous negligence. I should have personally checked if you were well accommodated or not. One of our staff members made the mistake. I clearly asked them to provide you the best service our hotel had to offer. But they... No, it is all my fault. I should have been more careful. In fact, I've already fired the staff member who caused all this..." The manager continued to ramble making sure to apologize every few sentences.

"It's alright." Jing Lihua was amused. Was it Zhao Lying who was behind it? She must have scared the manager very much.

"So you wouldn't take it to your heart? It was all a mistake! We had no hidden motives! I'll do anything to make amends!"

Jing Lihua thought the manager was being weird. She coughed. "It's really alright Manager Zhu." What did Zhao Liying do to this poor thing?

"Let me take you to your new room." The manager wiped the streaks of sweat from his forehead. "Tell me if you don't like anything. We'll change it immediately."

Jing Lihua didn't want him to follow her all the way to her room. So after some persuasion, she grabbed the card and went upstairs alone. She walked into the corridor when she was unlucky enough to stumble across the Su Lanfen group.

She frowned and looked at the floor number. Her room was supposed to be on the upper floor.

Su Lanfen was being surrounded by her manager and some of her fans who also stayed at the Hotel. When her eyes spotted Jing Lihua, her lips curled up into a sneer. She thought that it was a nice opportunity to corner Jing Lihua. After all, Jing Lihua was alone while Su Lanfen was surrounded by the people who wanted to please her.

"Are you here to meet my cousin, Su Liwei?" Su Lanfen suddenly stood in her way. After a short silence, she added as if she had forgotten it the first time. "Who is also your husband?"

"Move aside." Jing Lihua said calmly.

Other people around Su Lanfen hushed quickly for a moment. When they saw Jing Lihua was all alone, they rushed to surround Su Lanfen showing their support. The enmity between Su Lanfen and Jing Lihua was no longer hidden. After those scandals, although Su Lanfen had eventually gotten control over them, it was still fresh in people's memory.

The people by Su Lanfen's side were either her fans or representatives of different companies who wanted to sign her so naturally, they would side her in order to please her.

"Cousin in law, why are you being so cold? I just wanted to ask if you are here to see my cousin. He might be busy and turn you away but my room is on the same floor so I'll easily convey whatever you have to say to him. Isn't it what you are here for? To see my cousin?" Su Lanfen thought there was no other reason for her to be here.

Jing Lihua didn't say anything. Her face was expressionless, unwilling to reveal any emotion. She didn't look the one who was being insulted.

Taking her silence as 'Yes'. Su Lanfen continued in a seemingly low voice but loud enough that anyone could hear. "Think about it. If he turns you away, won't only it cause others to talk behind your back? You'll have to trouble again to come to this floor. Afterall your room is on the last few floors. Just tell me whatever you want to talk to him about."

"The last few floors?" A woman snickered. "Isn't it where they put the staff? Why hadn't they put her with Su Liwei?"

Jing Lihua ignored her and tried to step away but she was once again stopped.

"Jing Lihua, agree to what Su Lanfen is saying. It is only right if Su Lanfen goes to say whatever you have to convey. Do not disturb Su Liwei for no reason. Besides, we all know about your two strained relationship so if you are doing it only to prove that you are on good terms with your husband then you can drop the act. Doing that will only make you look more desperate." It was Su Lanfen stylist who said that. Her name was Ye Xianxian.

"Do I know you?"

"Then step aside." Jing Lihua passed them.

Ye Xianxian felt insulted being ignored by Jing Lihua so she couldn't stop herself from saying. "She is so arrogant. Su Lanfen you are so good to her yet she treats so coldly. Such a person doesn't deserve your kindness. I don't see what is she so arrogant about. Her own husband treats her like shit. Yet she still looks down upon other people."
