Chapter 234: Not easy to appease

Jing Lihua and the white kitten stared at the man on the couch who seemed to be oozing a dangerous aura. Jing Lihua could tell from the way a dark smile played at the corner of his lips. And the impish touch of his handsome face. As for the kitten, animals are perceptive to such changes in the environment. Though the cat couldn't tell what was wrong, it must have sensed the change in the air.

Jing Lihua glanced at the cat with hopeful eyes.

As if understanding Jing Lihua glance, little fussy move forward. Jing Lihua was almost happy, almost until the cat leisurely moved past Li Zhiqiang straight to her bed, stretching her limbs and falling asleep in an instant without a single care in the world, abandoning Jing Lihua in her plight without the slightest hesitation.

Traitor!

"I'm waiting." Li Zhiqiang husky voice made its way to Jing Lihua ears, all the way to her heart activating it into a loud thumping state as his fingers silently tapped at the sidearm. His gaze was firmly locked with hers. The devilishly provocative smile didn't disappear for a second.

Jing Lihua blinked at him innocently. "You are waiting for what, babe? Oh, nevermind! How stupid of me. You must have been waiting for me!" Like a kid caught eating sweets, Jing Lihua jumped into Li Zhiqiang arms acting all 'cute' and 'lovely' throwing all sorts of 'I miss you', 'I Love you'.

Li Zhiqiang paused. "What did you just...call me?"

Jing Lihua looked at him. "Babe? Do you not like it? I could call you something else. How about darling? Honey? En—" Jing Lihua had to shut up because her lips were aggressively devoured. After a long kiss that left her legs all weak and her mid foggy, Li Zhiqiang cupped her perfect, squashy cheeks and whispered darkly into her ear. "Do you think I am so easy to appease?"

Jing Lihua gulped.

"Of course not." She said sheepishly. "You are the great, majestic President of the 'Li' Groups. How could you be so easy to appease?"

Li Zhiqiang silently raised an eyebrow at her. Jing Lihua broke into coughs before explaining quietly. "I had no idea. I am telling you, that scoundrel had been up against me. I am really innocent."

"Then you will have no objections if I get rid of him?"

Jing Lihua shuddered. "Sweetheart, babe, whatever you like, I will call you, okay? He is my friend's boyfriend. Do you remember Zhao Liying? It's not very charming to go to such an extreme extent. Okay?"

Li Zhiqiang's hard face loosened up somewhat. At her deliberate attempts to pacify

him, his face disintegrated into a smile. Noticing that, inwardly, Jing Lihua sighed in relief. But she did not dare to relax before saying a few more sentences of pacifying him.

Finally, tired, she leaned back against the couch by Li Zhiqiang side who gently massaged her temple. "Truly though, I am sorry Li Zhiqiang. It was all a misunderstanding. I promise the next event I attend, I will have you with me."

"Don't worry. I am not angry."

"That what was all that 'I'm going to murder someone' look on your face?" Jing Lihua was shaken. Dark clouds from Hell surrounded him a second ago. She could not have mistaken because Fussy had also picked up something in the air.

"Maybe I just wanted to hear you call me affectionately?"

Jing Lihua glared at him. But the message he was giving was really helping her relieve the stress that had accumulated to have over the course of time. Thus, she postponed the idea of getting even with the 'Devil'.

"Is there anything you want to share?" Suddenly Li Zhiqiang drifted into her ears strangely soothing her taut nerves. She sighed. "I don't know what to do." Just at that instant, her phone rang. It was a message from Zhao Liying.

She was asking out Jing Lihua wanting to introduce someone to her. That 'someone' was by no doubt Zhou Liqin. But Zhao Liying had kept her words ambiguous. After reading the message, Jing Lihua's expressions changed. "What am I supposed to do?" Jing Lihua handed the phone to Li Zhiqiang.

After reading the content, Li Zhiqiang handed her back the phone. "Isn't this guy you were scowling at the day in the Club when he was chatting with your friend? I proposed my help back then. If there is something you can't handle just ask me. I can manage it without getting anyone suspicion."

Jing Lihua frowned. "I was not scowling at him, alright! And no thank you." She looked up at the man with deep curiosity. "Aren't you going to ask why I am against him and Zhao Liying?" At this point in time, both of them were going pretty well. There was definitely no obvious reason for Jing Lihua to criticize their relationship. 

This was the reason Jing Lihua was reluctant to confront Zhao Liying. What excuse she was supposed to provide?

But she knew things would turn around. No one understood but she did. And the 'reason' for why she knew this was definitely something she could not divulge or explain. Because she herself didn't understand.

"Why should I ask?"

"You know, because, I don't have a valid reason to su

pport my claim. But I know it is true. What am I supposed to do? Let things go as they do or stand up against everything and take the risk?"

Li Zhiqiang listened to her explanation intently. Jing Lihua waited for his words patiently. Jing Lihua really admired Li Zhiqiang for his acumen and sharpness. He was the great acclaimed 'Devil'. Thus, his opinion would be highly beneficial in her state of indecisiveness.

And finally, the words he said proved to effect her drastically and cleared the heavy mist of dilemma that enshrouded her heart. 

"As long as you know your intentions are right and you have no regrets, there shouldn't be anything holding you back."
