Chapter 232: Victim to give vent frustration

"Some people won't just give up." Jing Lihua was someone who kept her guard up at all times. How could she have not seen Lang Lan whispering to her attendants? She did. She knew what they were up to.

And if they assumed she would fall for it, they had another thing coming.

She was definitely not in a good mood after finding herself in an inescapable situation when it came to Zhou Liqin's matter. It appeared to her that Lang Lan had set herself to be a victim to give vent to Jing Lihua's frustration. Very well. If Lang Lan was willingly serving herself to Jing Lihua, she would not have any qualms about accepting her.

Just as the female attendant approached Jing Lihua, being confident, after picking up Jing Lihua indifference, that the green-eyed woman had not the slightest notion that someone with evil intent was reaching up to her, out of sudden the woman whirled and a hand reached out and grabbed onto the assistant wrist, the hold was firm and unshakable. With a smile that was not so friendly, that green-eyed woman said. "Something in your mind?"

"I-I..." The attendant had been very close to Jing Lihua. She was just about to splash the drink all over her dress all the while being positive that the green-eyed woman had not suspected her presence. Being seized so suddenly, she was caught utterly off guards.

Until...a sudden push had her flying back to the floor, all the juice splattered over her face making her scream as it stung her eyes. "What the...! Do you have any sense of propriety?!" She screamed in frustration.

Jing Lihua casually glanced down at her.

"Look at yourself before speaking." 

The lady at the reception dialed up to management after witnessing the scene. However, Jing Lihua couldn't be bothered with anything. Let them come. She would say what are they worth. Her face looked up, her eyes locking with a certain onlooker who had 'unsatisfaction' written all over her face at this outcome.

 With blatant insouciance oozing out of her cool green eyes, she made her way towards Lang Lan leaving the cursing woman on the floor.

Lang Lan knew nothing other than taking a step back in trepidation. However not intending to appear have been intimidated by that woman she despised by the depths of her heart, she held her ground firmly. "What do you want?!" Her tone was sharp, fairly rude as if she had nothing to do with anything implying she had no relation with that attendant who tried to aim at Jing Lihua.

Jing Lihua picked up that tone. Not bothering with Lang Lan's refusal, she went straight

for the point. "You should have kept yourself away and saved yourself whatever little you were left with."

Not letting Lang Lan any time to comprehend her warning or respond, Jing Lihua walked out off. After getting out, she casually grasped out her phone and emailed a video to someone.

Lang Lan could still not comprehend what Jing Lihua meant in her words. She had a feeling she was trying to threaten her but what exactly her words mean? What was she up to?

After taking out her frustration on the attendant who failed to handle such a 'simple' job and firing her on the spot, Lang Lan drove back to her home.

"It doesn't matter. First, I must work on my relationship with Heng Huizhong. Once I have his full support, it is just a matter of time that I manage to incite him into taking action against that vain woman." With that single thought in her mind, Lang Lan discharged the kitchen staff and planned to personally prepare a meal for Heng Huizhong. She worked until tiring herself out.

It is noteworthy before the bad days struck her, Lang Lan had never set a foot in the kitchen. But, today, she was willing to. To earn back Heng Huizhong's trust and to show him that she was working on her attitude and improving herself for his sake.

Their relationship had already improved a lot after the last time they fell out. It was only a matter of time before Lang Lan would win him back. She was certain that that point was just around the corner!

Furthermore, if the mood was right and her efforts managed to melt his heart, she would get one step ahead and ask him to do something about Jing Lihua today. That was her plan.

As the evening arrived, she arranged the table for him and patiently waited for him.

Time tickled by but there was no sign of Heng Huizhong. Lang Lan's heart grew anxious. Jing Lihua's words kept replaying in her mind. 

"Lady Lan, maybe Mr. Heng is held by something in the office? Don't be hard on yourself." One of the two attendants that she had not fired consoled her.

"He is usually back by this time. What could it be? Last time, he went missing like today's appalling news awaited me." Lang Lan grumbled. Thinking back to that humiliating incident, a fresh surge of anger and embarrassment enveloped her whole. In the aftereffect of that sensation, her resolve to get back at those responsible for her state strengthened even more.

"Bring me my phone." She ordered to her

attendant not waiting to take a chance, "I am going to call him."

"Yes, Lady Lang." The attendant bowed her head and went to fetch her phone. Just at that point, the housekeeper rushed in to inform Lang Lan. "Lady Lang, Mr. Heng has arrived. He is currently resting in the lawn."

Lang Lan got up on her feet, looking anxious. "Did you not tell him I was waiting for him in the dining room?"

"I did. He said he wanted some time alone."

Listening to this, Lang Lan's heart dropped. She knew something was wrong. 'Damn it!' Cursing under her breath, after mustering a great deal of courage, she finally made her way towards the lawn.
