Chapter 204: Another unexpected guest

"This Su family... I can never understand." Jing Lihua sighed. She had just received the news that Su Liwei had taken back the office from Mei Xiu. She had mixed feelings about this. 

Behind his actions, she had some theories. But, in her last life, she had never been able to fully understand Su Liwei. So there were no chances she would be able to understand him in this life. She didn't dare be careless and make a wrong assumption only to suffer the damage in the end. This had happened a lot in the past. She sighed.

"Forget this. This change... it is good for me regardless. During the change of power in a company, chaos usually follows. I hope they get too caught up in the chaos and forget about me..." She said before she rolled down the windshield of her car and took in her sight the establishment before her.

After selecting Fu Jianguo's team, she had the Qin Jua construction company propose a contract for the construction to the Tang enterprise. The higher authorities in her Tang enterprise accepted. After this, the project formally ensued. 

Since the basic framework was already erect, it would take up to a month before the renovation of the mall competed. 

Things were progressing well. As long as the Su family didn't intervene, everything would go smoothly. 

But knowing them, they were bound to intervene.

Jing Lihua had gotten some intel from Chen Yuefang's contacts that other than their plans to leak the contract, they were up to something even worse for her. 

"President, your grandfather had just called me to inform you about something."

Jing Lihua closed the windshield and glanced at Mei Xu: "Go on."

"He said you must arrive at the airport at nine am this Friday to pick someone up."

"Why would he want me to personally pick them up? Is it Grandfather's important Guest?"

Mei Xiu: "It's the Anderson family. Your grandfather invited them to spend a weekend at our place."

Hearing this, Jing Lihuai's head went numb. A second later, she felt like punching herself. "That damn old man! How dare he! If the devil knows, I am done for! When I said I was not emotionally ready for this...why...just why... Ugh! Mei Xiu hit me."

Mei Xiu stared at her President. "Are you alright...President?"

Why was her President behaving like a teenager throwing a tantrum?

"My granddaughter took the initiative to call me. Today, heavens must be smiling on me." Her grandfather's taunting words came from the other side. 

Jing Lihua paused. 

From her grandfather's tone, she immediately guessed that he was aware of her anger. Her eyes changed their color: "You purposely did this, didn't you?"

"What is my Xiao Lizi talking about? I have no idea." His clueless tone was definitely aimed at provoking her. And damn, it was doing such a fine job at this! She was provoked! So thoroughly provoked!

"Cut it! When I told you I don't want to meet anyone, why did you call the Anderson family?" She cut to the chase and slightly directed her question.

Jing Lihua wanted to throw her phone on the floor and stomp over it. "Grandfather..." She warned. Her voice darkened. "This won't end well."

Hearing her words, Tang Liuwei laughed. "Is there a particular reason it won't?" He asked. There was a hint of mystery in his tone. It was as if he knew something that he was not saying in open.

Picking on the strong sense of mystery in her grandfather's tone, Jing Lihua froze. She squinted her eyes and contemplated it. In the end, she reached the conclusion she didn't want to. 

Her grandfather knows...

He knows she is seeing someone.

Was it why he was pressurizing her? So that she would bring over Li Zhiqiang to him and introduce them?

"Fine!" She said. "I just hope that Grandfather does not faint after witnessing how strong my reason is!" Definitely, Li Zhiqiang was strong. She did not want both of them to meet because she was worried that her grandfather would be reluctant to give his acceptance.

Tang Liwei was shocked. "Such confidence..." He laughed. "Even though you are not related to me by blood, you still resemble your grandmother a lot. She was just like you."
