Chapter 180: Getting better and better at sweet talking

Regarding Li Zhiqiang grandparent's opinion on their relationship, Jing Lihua could recall the specifics back from six years ago. They were not very happy about the arrangement. Back then, Jing Lihua was just a spoiled young mistress from a rich family.

There wasn't anything particularly impressive about her other than her looks...

Also at that time, she was young. She didn't know how to handle conversation and leave a favorable opinion of herself in others' minds. So she hadn't behaved how she should to stabilize the situation.

Due to all these factors, Li Zhiqiang's grandparents were hoping that Li Zhiqiang's affair with Jing Lihua would be the heat of the youth and he would leave her...

And then Jing Lihua disappearance...

And her marrying some other man...

After all this, it would require a miracle to get his grandparents to have a positive opinion of her; hence their approval of their relationship.

At that point, Jing Lihua felt Li Zhiqiang pulling her into his embrace

"No matter what, I have already promised to accompany you to the end of the time. As long as we stand together, there is no hurdle we can't surpass."

Jing Lihua's lips gradually curled up into a smile as the warmth of his embrace permeated her heart. Just like that, the man could end all her worries and replace the dark clouds over her heart with fresh sunlight.

Back at the islands, Jing Lihua kissed Li Zhiqiang goodbye. After picking up little fussy who was snoring comfortably on a luxurious seat, she looked into Li Zhiqiang's eyes. "After this trip ends, you will not have to wait anymore."

This man; Jing Lihua knew how important he was. Yet, he discarded everything just for her and flew all the way here. His sincerity was not something to be trifled. It was not fair to make him wait any longer.

Li Zhiqiang gently kissed her forehead. "Don't feel guilty. I have waited for six years. What is it a few more weeks?"

Jing Lihua almost teared up.

Damn it!

Even at the point, he was worried that he would make her feel guilty. 

A moment later, eyes sharpened. "President Li. you are getting good and good at sweet-talking." The more time passed, his sweet-talking started touching her heart.

"Huh?" Li Zhiqiang was innocent. He said what was in his heart.

Before he could ask, she stood on her toes and planted a quick peck on his lips. Just like that, holding a grumpy car in her arms, she scurried away while Li Zhiqiang stared at her disappearing figure in a daze.

Only once she disappeared from the sigh, did he return to the helicopter.

While his fingers touched his lips and a gentle smile curled on his face. The lingering feelings still making his heart palpitate.

How could a simple kiss from a woman have such a profound effect on him; he could never understand.

A few days passed. Jing Lihua stayed strictly in her separate room while playing with little fussy. Neither Su Liwei nor Su Lanfan came to find trouble with her.

"I can't be too careless. That Su Lanfan; she is in the entertainment circle. Who doesn't know how dark the things get in there? In any case, she has no lower limit. Now that her heart is brewing in anger and resentment, she won't hesitate to use any method against me." Jing Lihua sighed while rubbing her temple.

A moment later, she poked the litten kitten on the couch. "Fussy! Fussy! Don't you think the same? Ain't I smart?" She asked eagerly.

Fussy opened her marble-like green eyes to stare at Jing Lihua. A moment later, she rolled to the other side, closed her eyes, and fell asleep.

"Eh...? Aren't you getting a little too lazy?"

No response.

"Or are you just ignoring me?"

Silence.

"This is wrong! I stood up against the 'Great Devil' for your sake! Is it how you should treat me?" Jing Lihua complained.

At this, fussy mewed in an annoyed tone as if telling her 'stop nagging and let her sleep'

Jing Lihua: "..."

Of course, the cat was gifted by the Great Devil! There was no way she would be a humble one.

Unluckily, Jing Lihua's premonition was right.

Su Lanfen was indeed not content without harming Jing Lihua in any way.

Because of Jing Lihua, her flourishing career had been stomped over. Despite her rich family background, she had been unable to make a standing in the industry once again. She might have to start all over again...

Years of troubles she had gone through all went to waste...

And most of that, she had been reduced to live in seclusion. Away from all the glamour and fame she initially enjoyed...

And no top of that, Jing Lihua seemed to be unaffected no matter what Su Lanfen used against her.

It was as if there was nothing that could affect her frozen heart.

Su Lanfen felt helpless as well as angry.

At that point, she was suddenly surrounded by a group of youngsters. 

"Is it the great supermodel Su Lanfen?"

"Yes, it is!"

"She has never disappeared from headlines. For her to appear here..."

Su Lanfen immediately sensed trouble. She was about to leave when the youngsters stopped her. "No, no Miss Lanfen, you misunderstand us! We are your loyal supporters!"

"Indeed, we have come all the way to the Islands after we heard that you were downcast!"

"We are here to encourage you to return to your job!"

"Is that so?" Su Lanfen paused. To have a dozen such fanatics fans was not abnormals. Especially for famous models like Su Lanfen.

They would go to each and every show of the

ir idol and support her unconditionally. 

No matter what the majority said, these loyal fans would protect their idol at all costs.

"Yes. We came here especially after learning that you have retired for a few months. We are here to convince you to come back!" A young female stepped forward and said with deep emotions in her eyes.

Suddenly Su Lanfen's eyes darkened. "Then... would you do a small favor for me?"

The youngsters looked at each other before replying vehemently.

They had traveled all the way here to support their idol. To be asked for a favor from her side; it was already their honor!
