Chapter 153: Still hold the upper hand

Jing Lihua stayed the night at the farmhouse. In the morning, she headed for her apartment. After taking care of the little fussy, she plopped on the couch and checked her emails.

"Mr. Song indeed lived up to his reputation. I am pretty sure Heng Huizhong must have tried to bribe him with handsome amounts and even must have tried to make things difficult for him. But even so, he has already sent the papers for the transfer of the shares."

Pondering over it, Jing Lihua dialed a number. Once he picked up, Jing Lihua directly asked. "Heng Bingwen, have you received Mr. Song's email?"

"Y-Yes, President." Heng Bingwen's voice sounded raspy.

In all the chaos, he couldn't even find time to ponder over Mr. Song's words about 'President Jing ties with Heng family and that twenty percent shares she had inexplicably inherited.'

From his tone, Jing Lihua could detect traces of tiredness. She sighed. "Heng Bingwen, Heng Bingwen, this is no time to laze around."

"President I wasn't lazing around..."

"I know it is difficult for you. But this is the time to demonstrate your true strength. We must strike while the iron is hot. Heng Bingwen fell silent for a while. Listening to Jing Lihua's words, the tiredness within his heart slowly dissipated. He felt a surge of confidence invigorate him. His resolve solidified. "Yes, President I understand." His tone changed drastically.

It was funny how a few words from President could have such a profound effect on him.

Heng Huizhong had not been able to stop the process of shares transfer. Since the shares were distributed, naturally there would be an election to elect the new President of the enterprise. How could Heng Huizhong easily let go of his position?

To openly give her twenty percent shares, she must be on the same level as his sons. It meant that Elder Heng gave her the same importance as his grandsons.

That meant that Elder Heng believed that Jing Lihua was his granddaughter!

Now it was either Jing Lihua was actually Elder Heng granddaughter or she had deluded him into believing that she was his granddaughter.

In both the cases, Heng Huizhong was at advantage.

"If she is indeed my father's granddaughter she must have been adopted. That means she is not a Tang. If I expose this to the public, I can cause great damage to her. I can use this to blackmail her. President Jing, I still hold the upper hand. Hehe."
