Chapter 147: I am not gentleman

"Li Zhiqiang..." Jing Lihua whispered.

A moment passed. Then two. Jing Lihua couldn't pull away her eyes from him.

"Why are you staring at me like this?" Li Zhiqiang said after a long silence of staring. His lips broke into a slow smirk, suggestive. "Something in your mind?" 

Jing Lihua could be bothered with his teasing. She couldn't even register his words because she was too shocked by what she was seeing. Never in her wildest dream could she have imagined the great 'devil' in such a state.

"What are you wearing..." She helplessly asked.

"Clothes." Li Zhiqiang said as a matter of fact. He raised an eyebrow as if questioning why would she ask such a basic question. "Why do you ask all of sudden. Do you mind?"

"Not that..."

"...Would you rather if I didn't wear them?"

Jing Lihua: "..."

"If you do mind, I have no objection to taking them off. It's getting a bit hot in here as a matter of fact."

Jing Lihua: "..." Was there no end to him? She took a deep breath. 

She knew she could never win the great devil. He had such a slick tongue. She still remembered the first time they met, six years ago in Hong Kong, he used to be a silent reserved person like a cold glacier keeping everyone kilometers away from his mere chilliness.

But as they spent time together, he started opening up more and more. 

It was the same after six years. In the beginning, when she had first met him at the hospital, he had appeared so cold. Now slowly yet steadily, he was warming up. Jing Lihua didn't know whether it was a good change or not.

Though her heart was warming up to him, there was an accompanying fear developing of what if one day he left her. Just like her mother... Just like she was alone in her last life...

While she was lost in her thoughts, Li Zhiqiang smiled wickedly and started undoing his shirt.

"Silence counts as a yes. Means you do mind."

Jing Lihua's eyes widened.

"What the... Stop! I don't mind! I was not even talking about that! I was just asking what were you wearing above your clothes!"

Li Zhiqiang paused, smiling lightly at Jing Lihua's flushed face. "An apron." He mouthed out smoothly.

Once again Jing Lihua fell silent, at a loss of what to say.

He said that as if there was nothing wrong with that.

However, there was definitely a lot of wrong with that.

To see the great devil wearing a 'cute' pink apron and skillfully holding a rolling pin... This-This was too bizarre!

She didn't even know how to feel about this anymore.

"Please take it off..." She said in a tone of resignation. "What are you even trying to do? I will do it. Just... Please take it off first."

 Please spare me! Don't make me look at such strange things!

Jing Lihua was hardly controlling herself from facepalming.

This Li Zhiqiang... He would always do something she could never have expected.

Li Zhiqiang frowned. He glanced

down at his apron 

"I know it's a little tight but there wasn't anything else. I had to do with it. Why are you overreacting?"

"Overreacting?" Jing Lihua stared at him.

If he said she was overreacting, then what would he call the reactions of thousands of businessmen who work under a pristine and lofty President Li once they saw the same tyrannical Beast in a cute pink apron. 

They would simply scream and go insane! 

 "Just... forget it. Tell me what are you trying to do this time?"

Other than this, Jing Lihua could not say anything.

Li Zhiqiang leaned against the door frame of the kitchen and stared at Jing Lihua with mischievous eyes. Looking at him, wearing an apron and so nonchalantly holding a rolling pin, Jing Lihua couldn't take him seriously. She just couldn't.

"Practicing. One of us must be good at cooking. After all, in the future, we don't want our children to end up with stomachaches after eating your cooking."

Being criticized so openly, Jing Lihua's train of thoughts paused immediately. "What do you mean? What do you mean stomachaches? I know that I am not that good at cooking but when did you ever have a stomachache after eating my cooking?" Jing Lihua felt wronged.

Li Zhiqiang laughed lightly. "You can ask that from Li Xun."

"You!" Jing Lihua remembered how Li Zhiqing would force Li Xun to eat whatever she made without complaint. At one time, Li Xun had indeed suffered from severe bloating and ended up in a hospital. Not being able to counter, Jing Lihua harrumphed. "Forget it! What children are you even talking about? Don't forget that I'm still married to someone else. Don't indulge in wishful thinking!" Jing Lihua used another approach to get back at him while subsequently glaring at him.

However, unbeknownst to her, her words flicked something within Li Zhiqiang.

Within seconds, the playful light in his eyes changed. He crossed the distance between them and in an instant, Jing Lihua found herself pinned against the wall.

"What are you..." She hushed herself when she found his handsome face inches away from her.

Her heart thumped.

Wearing an apron, holding a rolling pin in one of his hands, and with such serious expressions. Jing Lihua was at a loss whether to take him seriously or not.

She wanted to take him seriously, but wearing that pink apron, he just looked so cute and funny that she couldn't control herself.

"You wouldn't be laughing when I am done with you." Li Zhiqiang warned when Jing Lihua wouldn't stop laughing. Placing his hands over the wall, he trapped her and leaned in,

However, suppressing her laughter, Jing Lihua pressed his chest and pushed him away a bit.

"President Li, please restraint yourself. It is not a gentleman's behavior to get this close to a married woman." Jing Lihua said with a teasing smile.

"President Jing, if you assumed that I am a gentleman then you are gravely mistaken."

"President Li, still you have a clean reputation. You shouldn't make a move on someone else wife. Think about it. What others would think about you when they learn that-"&

Before Jing Lihua could complete, she was kissed by the pink apron-wearing handsome President Li. 

"You are not someone else wife. You are only mine."

"..."

Before she could object, she was kissed again.

"..."

Her struggles were useless against the jealous man who was determined to make her learn that whom she 'belonged'.

'I was joking! Could he not even tell that?'

However, unluckily for Jing Lihua, it was already too late. She had ignited the fire in that Beasts. Now she had to suffer the consequences.
