“Auntie, I don’t know whether the dishes suit your taste or not. So, I just bought some common dishes from a restaurant.”

Thinking that Manla had never been so weak, Gu Yan frowned. She began to wear a coat and complained.

“Why cannot you take care of yourself? I had told you that do not drink too much. Is the customer so important? I’m going to your home now.”

Worrying about Manla all the way, Gu Yan drove faster than usual.

She took the clothes from Manla’s house and brought some millet porridge since Manla could not eat anything else now.

In a short while, Gu Yan arrived at the hospital. She hurried to the ward that Manla told her.

Just as she went into the ward, Gu Yan saw Manla lying on the bed piteously.

Gu Yan had never seen Manla being like this. No matter how tired Manla was, she would dress herself up. However, now Manla’s hair was scattered on her face, but she had no energy to smooth it.

Manla’s clothes were covered with vomit, and her makeup on the face had already messed up.

“I brought some millet porridge. The doctor told me that you can eat liquid food.” Gu Yan said in an angry tone and didn’t look at Manla.

Manla could feel Gu Yan’s anger, so she held Gu Yan’s hands.

“Do you think I will believe you?” Gu Yan cooled the porridge, handed it to Manla, and said seriously.

“Well, I will go out and get hot water. Don’t worry about me. Have a good rest since you live in the hospital these days. Put your work aside for a while.”

Gu Yan tucked the quilt for Manla and left the ward with a thermos.
