Chapter 190 Getting closer

At night, Mo Yichen was faint and walked slowly along the street.

He felt lonely.

He neither wanted to go home nor to the hospital. He didn’t want to do anything since he was helpless and aggrieved.

He walked for a long time, tired and sleepy. He looked around and felt it was familiar. He went to Gu Yan’s home unconsciously. He looked at Gu Yan’s window. It was late but Gu Yan didn’t sleep. “What is she doing? How is she in recent days?” Mo Yichen thought.

Mo Yichen was curious and went upstairs. Then he knocked on the door.

“Rub-a-dub.”

“Who is it?” Gu Yan didn’t open the door. She was cautious in the midnight.

“It’s me… Gu Yan… It’s me…” He replied in a low voice. He leant on the door and waited for Gu Yan. He kept knocking on the door which caused the complaints from the neighbors.

“It’s so late. Please be quiet.” The neighbor complained.

“Don’t you know that we are falling asleep? Can’t you come here tomorrow?”

“You such an uneducated person.”

Mo Yichen ignored the neighbors and listened to the sound from Gu Yan’s house carefully. She ran to open the door.

She wore the pink pajamas and a pair of lovely slippers with unkempt hair. The light of the corridor was dim but her beauty was obvious. He couldn’t help holding her into arms and whispered, “Don’t leave me alone, please.”

Gu Yan stretched out her arms and stopped for a while. Finally, she hugged him tightly since he was decadent.

“Yichen, come in. What’s going on?” Gu Yan was worried.

Mo Yichen released the hands and looked at Gu Yan with deep affection. Then he was pulled into the house by Gu Yan.

Mo Yichen sat on the sofa and looked around. Her house had little decoration but was cozy.

He was trembling and held himself. It seemed that he got cold in the wind at night.

Gu Yan made him a glass of ginger water hurriedly.

“Yichen, what happened?” Gu Yan sat beside him and covered him a thick blanket.

“Gu Yan, I… want to stay here for one night. Just one night, please. I don’t want to go home.” It seemed that he was begging her. Then he cleared his throat and drank the ginger water.

Gu Yan looked at the time. It was 1:00 am. “He couldn’t go anywhere since he doesn’t drive the car. He was begging me just now, different from his behaviors as usual. Also, he helps me a lot. I couldn’t leave him alone this time.” Gu Yan thought.

“OK. But you should sleep on the sofa.” Gu Yan said.

They looked at each other and was rocking forwards and backwards with laughter.

“Yichen, what happened?” Gu Yan asked again.

“My mother forces me to stay away from you. I can’t … I can’t …”

“She even forces me to marry Chen Qian. What should I do?” Mo Yichen said helplessly.

The more he said, the sadder he was. He held her hands tightly and hugged her again. Gu Yan touched his head gently as if he were a child.

“Little Mo, I don’t know that you are so frail. Look at who is going to cry?” Gu Yan tried to break the ice.

Mo Yichen was dumbfounded. “I come here to pour out my woes and relieve my feelings. However, she dares to laugh at me.” Then he tickled and played with her.

They were tired after a while. Gu Yan was lying on Mo Yichen’s tummy which was soft and comfortable. Mo Yichen looked at the bright light on the ceiling.

“Gu Yan, how are you? How about the studio?” Mo Yichen asked.

“Not bad. I can manage it. But there is a follower recently.” Gu Yan replied.

“A follower?” Mo Yichen sat up and was confused.

“Yes, it’s Wen Yunfeng… He wants to make it up and remarry. But I have no feelings for him.” Gu Yan said.

Gu Yan told Mo Yichen about what happened a few days ago, which made Mo Yichen jealous.

“Who do you love?” Mo Yichen asked.

At that time, Mo Yichen lifted Gu Yan and put her on the bed tightly. Then he went to bed quickly and held Gu Yan tightly.

His heart beat…

“Tell me who you love if you have no feelings for him?” Mo Yichen asked again.

Then Mo Yichen kissed her gently. His lips were warm and powerful.

“Yichen, is Xiangyan alright?” Gu Yan asked.

Mo Yichen suddenly remembered that he didn’t see Xiangyan for a long time. He missed Xiangyan very much.

Mo Yichen stopped all movements. “There are many things I have to deal with. I will marry Gu Yan and get our family together.” Mo Yichen thought.

Mo Yichen didn’t sleep on the sofa that night. He made a promise and slept on her bed.

Gu Yan remembered the scenes between them. They experienced happiness and pain. It was like a dream for Gu Yan. “It’s not bad for us to have such a life.” She thought.

Mo Yichen slept opposite to Gu Yan. He didn’t fall sleep either. He calmed down since he felt Gu Yan was beside him. It seemed that every image of Gu Yan was in his mind. “I will do my efforts to protect you and Xiangyan in my life.” Mo Yichen made up his mind.

They turned their backs to each other and didn’t sleep for the whole night. But they felt happy from the bottom of the heart since they knew that they loved each other.

The next morning…

The sparrow screamed on the branch as if it shouted, “Get up, get up! The sun is shining…”
