Chapter 176 The new studio

“Grandma, how are you feeling now? Are you okay?” Gu Yan stood at the bedside and looked at Wu Bilian carefully, touching her hands slightly again and again. Wu Bilian loved Gu Yan deeply and was also Gu Yan’s only relative.

Wu Bilian suffered from illness and did several operations, so her face was covered with wrinkles. Fortunately, she was looked after well in the hospital recently, so her face was still ruddy. Gu Yan was a little sad.

Wu Bilian lay on the bed and looked at Gu Yan who wasn’t raised by her. Since Wu Bilian knew that Gu Yan and Wen Yunfeng divorced, she understood that Gu Yan suffered a lot on her own and didn’t want to tell her. Gu Yan didn’t want Wu Bilian to worry about her and often said that she was okay.

Gu Yan nodded, “Grandma, you are right. Our studio is well developed recently. Yuan Xi and others are very busy.” Then Gu Yan paused.

Seeing that Gu Yan hesitated, Wu Bilian asked, “What else couldn’t you tell me?”

Gu Yan thought for a moment and decided to tell Wu Bilian. “Grandma, our studio develops well now and we can’t manage it sometimes. So I want to open another studio in C City. I will arrange Yuan Xi to be responsible for the former studio. In that way, I can take care of you when you go back.”

“You are still young now, so you can do what you want. Don’t worry about me. I just want you to live well.” Wu Bilian said.

“Grandma…”

Wu Bilian patted Gu Yan’s hands, “I also know my own health condition. You don’t need to pay so much attention to me.”

“I…” Gu Yan’s eyes were full of tears but she didn’t know what to say.

At this time, Mo Yichen broke the heavy atmosphere in the ward, “Grandma, I come to see you.”

Wu Bilian and Gu Yan looked at Mo Yichen. They didn’t know how long he was standing there.

“Yichen, come over and sit down.” Wu Bilian greeted Mo Yichen and then replied, “Thank you. Thanks to your consideration for me.”

“Grandma, don’t say that. This is what I should do.” Mo Yichen said in a softer voice, but his words were easy to be misunderstood.

Hearing Wu Bilian and Mo Yichen’s conversation, Gu Yan was a little embarrassed and her face was slightly flushed. She didn’t dare to think more about it.

When Gu Yan came to her sense, she heard what Mo Yichen told to Wu Bilian, “I bought the plane tickets for Gu Yan and me. You have a good rest here for some time and then I will pick you up.”

Gu Yan looked at Mo Yichen confusedly, but Mo Yichen said nothing. Gu Yan had no choice but to say goodbye to Wu Bilian. They told Wu Bilian some matters that should be paid attention to in life. Then Gu Yan went out of the ward with Mo Yichen reluctantly.

The corridor was so quiet that they could only hear their footsteps. Gu Yan couldn’t help asking first, “Mo Yichen, why do you know that I will go back?”

“I heard that outside.” Mo Yichen answered calmly.

“Follow me quickly! Do you want to go to the hotel by taxi?” Mo Yichen interrupted Gu Yan without turning around. It was obvious that Mo Yichen still remembered that Gu Yan was so embarrassed while taking the taxi on the first day in France.

Hearing this, Gu Yan kept pace with Mo Yichen quickly.

After returning home, Gu Yan went to the studio to know the situation first and then sorted the client information to make some preparations for another studio in C City.

Gu Yan also asked Manla for some help.

Gu Yan and Manla supervised and urged the process, but it still took them over half a month to select the site, design, decorate and to decide when to start.

On the opening day, Gu Yan didn’t intend to make a wasteful arrangement. Yuan Xi was too busy to come here. So, Gu Yan just invited several good friends to visit the new studio and treated them in the hotel. Gu Yan’s new studio was officially opened with the celebration “cheers!”

After the celebration in the afternoon, there were only Gu Yan and Manla in the studio. The layout of the new studio was similar to that of the former one, so Manla was quite familiar with it and knew how to help Gu Yan.

Suddenly, the sound of footsteps came from the outside.

Manla noticed it first and stood there quietly, “Gu Yan, did you invite someone else? I seem to hear the sound of footsteps outside.”

The studio was almost cleaned up. Gu Yan also heard the sound outside. She stopped and asked, “I didn’t invite others. Who are coming?”

Gu Yan and Manla walked out of the office inside and saw that Mo Yichen came in with a few people. Some held cameras. Gu Yan and Manla guessed that they might be reporters, but they didn’t understand why Mo Yichen took them here.

Gu Yan was confused but she greeted them to sit down in the hall. Manla prepared tea for them.

Then Gu Yan looked at Mo Yichen and asked, “Mo Yichen, they are…?”

“They are reporters and want to interview you.” Then Mo Yichen said calmly, “You should communicate with them. It is a good opportunity to advertise your studio.” Then he went to Gu Yan’s office like the owner.

“Hello, Miss Gu, I am the reporter Wang Ting. We learned about your studio through President Mo. We heard that you open a branch in this city, so we come over and want to know in detail. Do you have time now?” Wang Ting asked politely. Seeing that Wang Ting wasn’t like those unreasonable reporters, Gu Yan was a little relaxed.
