Chapter 156 Meet an “old friend”

Gu Yan looked around excitedly. The captain of the airplane guided Gu Yan to her seat, which was in front of Mo Yichen.

“Miss, here is your seat.” The captain said.

“OK, thank you.” Gu Yan was about to sit down but was disturbed by a familiar voice behind her.

“Don’t worry about the business. I will handle it.” Mo Yichen pretended to call someone.

“Sir, you can’t use the mobile phone. The plane is taking off.” Gu Yan turned around. It was Mo Yichen.

“I thought that the voice is so familiar. It is you!” Gu Yan was surprised that Mo Yichen was in the same cabin with her.

“Are you heading to XX City as well?” Gu Yan was excited.

“Yes, for a cooperative project. We should go together since we are in the same flight.” Mo Yichen told a lie calmly.

“What’s going on?” Mo Yichen sent a message to Wu Gang. What was Gu Yan thinking about? She didn’t talk to Mo Yichen after she sat down.

“Wu Gang, why doesn’t she talk to me?” Mo Yichen sent again through the aerogram. The latter was in the economy class.

“President Mo, did you expose yourself?” Wu Gang worried that Mo Yichen who had lower EQ always made mistakes in this situation.

“I know. I will tell her friendly.” Mo Yichen was not good at convincing women, but his style of conversation was quite unique.

“Didn’t you want to say something to me?” Gu Yan said.

“I said that… Never mind. It’s your turn.” Mo Yichen was annoyed that Gu Yan didn’t get what he said. It was hard for him to show his concern so straightforward.

“Thank you for helping my grandmother. I am very grateful for your help.” Gu Yan said.

“You’re welcome. It’s the right thing to do to care for the elderly.” Mo Yichen said it unaffectedly.

“I know that you went to France to invite the specialist especially for my grandma. Also, thank you for the financial support. I will give it back to you. Could you give me a deadline?” Gu Yan didn’t want to owe him too much and wanted to make up for him.

“That’s it?” Mo Yichen meant that Gu Yan should take a lifetime to pay him off.

The plane swayed all of a sudden. Gu Yan didn’t stand up firmly and fell into Mo Yichen’s arms. He held her naturally.

They looked at each other shyly as they got closer and closer.

“President Mo, are you okay?” Wu Gang came in and saw them unexpectedly – Mo Yichen and Gu Yan were close to each other. Gu Yan was so nervous that she left a hickey on Mo Yichen’s face. She went back to her seat immediately when she saw Wu Gang.

“What are you doing here?” Mo Yichen was annoyed.

“I’m worried about you since the plane is too shaky just now.” Wu Gang felt wronged.

“Fine. The plane will arrive in half an hour. Get ready to pick up the luggage. Did you book the hotel?” Mo Yichen asked.

“It’s all been settled.” Mo Yichen wouldn’t have any break time. He always dealt with the business on his computer for a whole day.

“Miss Gu, where are you gonna live? Do I need to book a hotel for you?” Wu Gang was the best assistant. Mo Yichen tried his best to listen to Gu Yan’s answer.

“No, thanks. One of my classmates lives here and I can stay at his place. Don’t worry. You go first.” Gu Yan would rather live in the guesthouse because she couldn’t afford to live in the hotel. She put all her money on her business.

Wu Gang glared at Mo Yichen and left.

Soon, they arrived in XX City.

The weather was cloudy and made people feel blue. They picked up the luggage and were about to have a rest.

“Send someone to protect her and don’t let her know about it.” Mo Yichen wanted Wu Gang to spy on her. He was worried since last time Gu Yan was almost raped. Since then, there were some people in plain clothes protected Gu Yan all the time. But she never noticed.

Gu Yan made a call to her so-called friend.

“May I stay at your home for one night?” Gu Yan asked.

“Sure. There are many empty rooms in my house. I will send you the address.” Her friend said.

“Thank you. I will be there soon.” Gu Yan hung up and walked quickly to take the taxi.

“Bro, good for you. Since you dare to let her live in my house, I’d like to see how long you can stand to take your lover back.” The one who called Gu Yan made another call.

“Come on. I trust you, OK? She has no friends here and you are her classmate. Treat her well or I won’t make it easy for you.” Mo Yichen threatened the man who was talking to him.

Gu Yan walked a long way to get there. She rang the doorbell and waited.

“Hello, I am Gu Yan.” Then she made a bow.

“Long time no see.”

“It’s you! How can you be my…?” Gu Yan was too excited that she lost her words.

“I am Liang Shaohun, a gifted scholar. Come on in.” Liang Shaohun helped her to take the luggage. He made a cup of tea for her and they talked about “their” college life. Liang Shaohun did some survey before in case he might let the cat out of the bag.

Gu Yan didn’t doubt his identity and had a nice chat with him.

Liang Shaohun wanted to know about Gu Yan. He wondered what kind of woman could make Mo Yichen so crazy.

Mo Yichen felt safe to leave Gu Yan with Liang Shaohun. He finally felt relieved and began to deal with his business.
