Chapter 113: Lin Yue’s Body Went Missing After Her Death

When Na Yankun saw Chi Jiao, he hurriedly snuffed out his cigarette and threw it into the rubbish bin beside him.

“I have some leads on the errand you’ve arranged for me to do.” Na Yankun bent down to match her eye level.

“Tell me about it.” Chi Jiao smiled faintly, not expecting to hear from him so quickly.

When the students passing by saw Chi Jiao and Na Yankun standing there talking and Na Yankun’s impeccably respectful attitude, they couldn’t help but take a few more looks at them.

“You’ll know when I ask her at home.” Chi Yan lowered her eyes to hide the cunning glint that flashed past them.

Chi Jiao listened to Na Yankun briefly before opening the car door. “Let’s talk in the car.”

Na Yankun quickly nodded and walked to the driver’s seat before getting into the car as well.

“Master Jiao, where do you plan to go? I can send you there. We can talk on the way,” Na Yankun said.

“To Bliss Street,” Chi Jiao said indifferently.

The bar that Quan Jue worked at was on Bliss Street, which was a distance away.

“Alright.” Na Yankun started the car.

“Did you just say that Lin Yue is from White City?” Chi Jiao asked.

“Yes, this woman has been dead for many years. She has a mental illness. When your father knocked her down back then, she had been mentally unstable. She was the one who ran towards your father’s car. Your father isn’t the main culprit,” Na Yankun said to Chi Jiao.

He originally thought that Chi Jiao had asked him to investigate this matter because of her father.

“What else?” Chi Jiao asked.

“Lin Yue was once treated at the White City’s third psychiatric hospital. She was the eldest daughter of the Xu family in White City. At the age of seventeen or eighteen, she was also the famous rich miss of the upper-class society in White City. Later, she was admitted to Shang Jing University but ended up getting pregnant after just two years of school. The identity of the child’s father is unknown. Lin Yue was then expelled for violating the school rules. Not long after she returned to White City, she gave birth.”

When Chi Jiao heard this, she knew that the child was Quan Jue.

Na Yankun continued, “Lin Yue was chased out of her family because of her premarital pregnancy. Her mother fell out with the Xu family and divorced her husband because of her. Lin Yue has been mentally unstable since she came back from White City. Oh, right, there’s also something else that was strange.”

Chi Jiao looked up at him nonchalantly. “What?”

“After Lin Yue died, her body went missing,” Na Yankun said.

“Investigate further on this matter,” Chi Jiao said without hesitation.
