Chapter 222: Yuan Yi’s gentleness

Zhang Xiao Qiang gave He Wen Bin countless requests, to which received no rejection. Whatever Zhang Xiao Qiang said would pass and finally, Zhang Xiao Qiang retrieved Wang Chong’s remnant out from his pocket and told He Wen Bin: “He must have the best and at the most front. We are all alive because of him.”

Right when Zhang Xiao Qiang had entered his villa, an intense surge of fatigue gushed through him. The little girl’s mother had prepared lunch and was waiting for Zhang Xiao Qiang and the rest to return to eat together. Without even looking at them, Zhang Xiao Qiang walked to his bed and plopped down.

Zhang Xiao Qiang opened his eyes from the tight feeling in his stomach along with a slight wetness on his chest. The light coming in from the window shot through from an opening between the curtains. Borrowing the light to see, Zhang Xiao Qiang lowered his head and saw the delicate little girl sleeping soundly in his embrace. The little girl drooled from the corner of her mouth onto his chest, forming a little puddle.

It was her movements that woke him, and her movements made him realize she was there. Yang Ke’er’s disheveled hair was all around as she buried her little head and slept soundly. Zhang Xiao Qiang carefully placed her to the side before getting out of bed slowly.

It was only after he got out of bed did Zhang Xiao Qiang realize that he had been undressed and his military uniform had been taken off, replaced with a pair of shorts. The smoke and stains on his body had been scrubbed off and a new set of military uniform on the chair by the bedside and a pair of military boots that had been cleaned and polished.

Dressed neatly, Zhang Xiao Qiang walked to the living room. The table had been laid out with delicacies, which was extremely rare. Aside from the unique food that Zhang Xiao Qiang had kept for himself, there were fried vegetables and a pot of soup, although the vegetables had been left for a long time and the green had dulled, to be able to see such food instigated Zhang Xiao Qiang’s stomach.

Just as he sat down and picked up the chopsticks to grab some food, Yuan Yi came out of the kitchen carrying a pot of piping hot rice. Seeing that Zhang Xiao Qiang had started eating, she quickly placed the rice on the table, then scooped up a bowl of rice for him.

With the rice, Zhang Xiao Qiang started attacking the dishes on the table. Looking at the empty pot of rice, Zhang Xiao Qiang became slightly embarrassed. He looked at Yuan Yi, who kept on refilling his rice bowl: “You haven’t eaten, right?”

Yuan Yi, who was dressed in simple clothing, looked like a pretty daughter from a humble family smiled faintly and shook her head: “We have all eaten, all of this food is prepared for you…”

Zhang Xiao Qiang looked at the sky outside and could not tell if it was early or late afternoon. He asked: “How long did I sleep for?”

“You’ve already slept for two days, Sister Qiao Yun woke up earlier in the afternoon and you’re the only one who slept till now.” Zhang Xiao Qiang was shocked, no wonder I’m able to eat so much despite not having many injuries, it wasn’t about any internal injuries but my stomach had been empty for two whole days.

Suddenly, Zhang Xiao Qiang realized that Yuan Yi was completely different from before. In the past, she hardly spoke and remained ice cold, even after Zhang Xiao Qiang and her had a relationship, she never revealed any intimacy towards him. Even after Yuan Yi recovered from her injuries, Zhang Xiao Qiang remained busy and hard at work, aside from bringing her along to do work, he never had the time to accompany her. But seeing Yuan Yi smile consecutively in the day, Zhang Xiao Qiang had no clue as to why she was so happy. Seeing her dressing and that she came out from the kitchen, his mind that had not been working finally worked again.

“Were you the one who cooked all of these today?” Zhang Xiao Qiang looked at Yuan Yi who was clearing the table and asked.

Yuan Yi raised her head, looked at him and nodded. A faint blush appeared on her white ears and spread across her face. Zhang Xiao Qiang looked at Yuan Yi who had lowered her head due to her shyness replied: “Oh, it’s no wonder why I feel that the food is so special today…”

When Zhang Xiao Qiang was halfway through his sentence, Yuan Yi looked at him with her entire face red, her two eyes looked like two black gemstones soaked in water, the two sparkling eyes began to become misty. With the two gentle and beautiful eyes looking at him, a flame ignited in Zhang Xiao Qiang’s heart.

Zhang Xiao Qiang stood up, hugged her, and looked into her eyes. The glazed eyes were extremely enchanting, as though she wanted to absorb Zhang Xiao Qiang’s spirit. Zhang Xiao Qiang became intoxicated with the pair of misty, clear, pure and deep eyes. No matter how he looked at her eyes, it felt as though he could not have enough of it. A fragrant scent came from Yuan Yi’s lips dissipated across Zhang Xiao Qiang’s face.

Her pink and delicate lips were like the beautiful Japanese Rose that blossomed in his eyes. Looking at the beautiful roses, he gently placed his lips over them.

Yuan Yi closed her eyes and tilted her head slightly, her silk hair swept behind her ears. In Zhang Xiao Qiang’s embrace, she could feel his heartbeat. A warm stream of air flowed to her face, it was his breath, the faint smoke taste was the smell that she had kept within her mind for the longest time. The familiar smell and the warmth entered her own lips.

Her heart pounded hard and an intense spell of dizziness poured over her. Yuan Yi felt as though she had lost all gravity and her body became light. The urge to soar into the air came over her but her heart was reluctant to part with his warm embrace. She extended her hands out and hugged him back tightly. At that moment, the sensation felt real yet fake, she did not know if she would float away if she let go.

Zhang Xiao Qiang felt slightly choked with Yuan Yi’s tight embrace around his waist, but his chest could clearly feel her pounding heartbeat.

The two kissed in each other’s embrace. Zhang Xiao Qiang felt as though the two of them had merged into one body, his emotions were Yuan Yi’s emotions. He slowly tasted the sweetness of Yuan Yi’s lips, at that moment, both of their hearts were as one as their hearts were submerged in love.

Yuan Yi felt herself being lifted up. Zhang Xiao Qiang carried her in his embrace and walked towards her room. On his sturdy arm, Yuan Yi felt like a little bird dancing in his palm. She closed her eyes and let him move her around. She did not think as her mind blanked out as she allowed Zhang Xiao Qiang to bring her to a faraway place.
