Zhao Yao had finally completed the mission to open a cat café within three months. With the fully furnished café right before his eyes, the mission disappeared from the mission panel.

Zhao Yao also received 30 experience points from it. Suddenly, Zhao Yao realized that he could flip to a new page in his BOOK – diamond hall.

Diamond hall allowed Zhao Yao to exchange diamonds which he had earned from missions for useful items. Currently, he had amassed a total of 40 diamonds. He finally understood what these diamonds were for.

There were two types of items available in diamond hall. The first is an “X2 Exp Card” which could be used on his BOOK or cats. As the name suggested, the experience points earned for the day would double.

The second item was a “Power Up Card” which allowed Zhao Yao to increase the power of his abilities.

Both cards cost one diamond to purchase.

Zhao Yao was exhilarated to see these cards. Even though both Match and Elizabeth’s power were considered powerful, he could now depend on his BOOK to increase his individual power.

With more and more supercats and apostles appearing in Jiangmen city, he urgently needed to get stronger.

Feeding Matcha and Elizabeth with the Michelin-starred cat rice he had prepared, the experience points earned had increased by ten times. If he used the “X2 Exp Card” on them, the experience points earned would double again on top of it.

If he used it on both his cats and the BOOK, and add the experience points earned from the BOOK on his cats, the experience points gained would increase by four times.

When he recalled that he had yet to complete the daily mission for the day, and he had not fed the cats, Zhao Yao immediately bought 2 “X2 Exp Cards” and used them on Matcha and his BOOK.

The BOOK earned 20 experience points from the daily missions while Matcha earned 20 experience points from the Michelin-starred cat rice.

Objective: Bathe at least ten cats before the official opening of your cat café

Reward: Each cat you bathed will earn you a different amount of experience points

Zhao Yao’s face turned purple when he saw his new mission.

“It expects me to bathe my cats?” Zhao Yao understood the implications and dangers when you bathed a cat.

Cats originated from the vast desert. Because of that, cats had developed an inherent fear and even dislike of water.

Most cats were rather docile. However, if you tried to bathe it, their inner Hulks will be unleashed as they would retaliate violently and even tried to bite or scratch its owner.

It would be close to impossible for regular cat owners to bathe their cats.

For Zhao Yao’s case, it would not be as problematic as he had the power of illusion and time freeze in his hands. However, it would be a tall order to bathe his supercats.

But Zhao Yao would do anything to earn more experience points. As he was thinking about the potential experience points that he would receive, his lips curled into a smile unknowingly.

Suddenly, all the supercats felt chills down their spine as though winter was coming.

Zhao Yao immediately instructed Elizabeth, “I suddenly thought of something, can you get all the cats back home first?”

Elizabeth thought that it was a somewhat strange request but still went along with his instructions.

Shi Yu was also perplexed by Zhao Yao’s sudden change of instructions and asked, “What happened? Why are you bringing them back?”

“Hmm, there was something which I have forgotten to do back at home,” Zhao Yao chuckled and instructed Baiquan, “You can use this time to familiarise yourself with this place. You will be starting work from tomorrow onwards. Do you have a house? If not, you can come over and stay at mine.”

Zhao Yao was thrilled to have Baiquan as free labor. It was not that easy to get someone to do your household chores and clean the cat’s litter box for free.

Baiquan nodded his head repeatedly when he heard that he could stay with Zhao Yao. He announced, “I will move over to your house tomorrow!”

“Since I provide free food and lodging for you, I’ll only decide on your wages after your probation period,” Zhao Yao chortled as he patted Baiquan on his shoulders and continued, “I expect big things from you.” Zhao Yao left Baiquan jumping for joy back at the café.

Shi Yu glanced towards Zhao Yao with twenty-two cats marching neatly behind him. She wondered, “Which one is the supercat?”

She thought that Zhao Yao was just a regular apostle with one supercat. Little did she know about Zhao Yao’s true identity.

Once they were back home, Zhao Yao started by carrying one stray cat into the toilet.

The cat sensed that something was amiss and started to meow pitifully in Zhao Yao’s arms.

“Who’s a good cat? You will be so clean after a good, nice bath,” Zhao Yao did not dare to gamble on whether the cat was afraid of water or whether it will attack Zhao Yao. A glimmer of red light flashed across his eyes, and he had used Elizabeth’s power to take control of the cat’s body.

The whole process of showering, shampooing and blow-drying the cat went smoothly.

It was fortunate that he had some cat shampoo left at home. He bought it before Matcha had awakened his superpower. He tried to bathe Matcha once but ended up with scratches all over his arms. From then on, he gave up on the thought of bathing Matcha.

With Elizabeth’s power, the cat was quietly standing there, allowing Zhao Yao to bathe it. It was a lot more straightforward than Zhao Yao’s first attempt with Matcha.

Zhao Yao discovered that he had earned ten experience points from bathing the cat.

“So I get ten experience points from a normal cat? Hmm, this is probably because of my ‘2x Exp Card’.”

Seeing his experience points grew steadily, Zhao Yao was encouraged to give the rest of the cats a bath. He gave the remaining 17 ordinary cats, including Mango, a bath in one go.

The eighteen cats only gave him a total 180 experience points. It was time to move on to the supercats which had higher bounties.

When Zhao Yao walked out of the toilet with Mango in his arms, he looked around and noticed that all of the supercats were missing.

Matcha, Roly Poly, Elizabeth and Dust Ball had all disappeared. Zhao Yao searched every nook and crannies of the apartment but still could not find the cats.

He smirked, “Are you trying to play hide and seek with me?”
