The killer cat was on the verge of death.

Even though its body could mutate and transform itself, but there was a limit to it. Each transformation required a vast amount of energy to mutate the muscles and bone structure. Even though it possessed self-recovery, it was not as powerful as regeneration.

If the killer cat possessed the power of regeneration during the fight, it would be able to transform itself without any side effects, and it would be at least ten times stronger than what it was now.

However, there was no ‘if’ in reality. The killer cat was getting destroyed by the masked man, and it was an undisputable fact.

The killer cat was shielding its head with its arms as it stood there while Zhao Yao continued his attack. It had almost lost its consciousness and was only standing there based on pure willpower. Lin Chen rushed towards Zhao Yao and shouted, “Stop it! If you continue attacking it, it will die!”

Zhao Yao turned around and replied, “It had already killed so many people. Doesn’t it deserve to die too?”

Lin Chen saw Zhao Yao waved his hand a few times and the killer cat was massacred with countless punctures in its body. Suddenly, a lot of blood gushed out of its body as it fell to the floor.

“It’s over,” Zhao Yao said calmly as he inspected the killer cat’s body.

At the next moment, Zhao Yao saw its body turned into an infinite number of starlight as it floated in the air.

“This is…” Zhao Yao looked at it warily as he was afraid that it was using another of its power.

As the body vanished into thin air and flesh and blood of the killer cat disappeared before their eyes, a kitten’s body appeared.

The kitten was curled up, and the main difference between it and other kittens was the countless scars on its body.

Its tail was broken; its back was deformed. There were also visible burnt marks on its chin and front legs. It also had a pair of black eyes which had never seen the light.

These were the product of the torture that the killer cat had experienced before it awakened its superpower.

This was its true form. All the other forms, be it the different humans or the monster were just armor that it had conjured using its power.

Its true body had gone through too much mutilation that it could not even recover with the power of regeneration.

It seemed like the killer cat could sense what was happening as it opened its mouth. Unlike the voice in its monster form, its original voice was crisp and clear.

It said, “Humans, between the both of us … there can never be true peace; my death is only the beginning.”

“Kill me… Just kill me.”

“Only one of us can be alive. If not, constant fighting ensues…”

Bam! As it was speaking halfway, an explosion occurred, and the remains of its body had all turned into starlight. Its body had disappeared entirely. Until now, Zhao Yao still did not know its name.

Zhao Yao was staring at the starlight when he started to frown. Nobody knew what he was thinking.

Elizabeth seemed slightly sad and lost as she saw the body disappeared before her. She looked towards Zhao Yao and said, “Thank you. We have exacted revenge for granny. However, why am I not happy at all?”

“Hmm,” Zhao Yao muttered as he was thinking about the killer cat’s last words.

Elizabeth’s ears started to twitch as she looked towards the northern sky. She immediately walked towards Zhao Yao and rubbed her furry body against his legs and said, “Zhao Yao, we should be leaving.”

Sounds of propeller rotating were coming from afar. If you gazed upon the northern night sky, you would have seen a group of helicopter flying towards them. They were the military reinforcements.

Lin Chen was stunned by what he saw. In the meantime, Zhao Yao had activated his power to stop time and had disappeared from the scene. All that was left were the aftermath of the battle, a heavily injured Lin Chen and …
