Zhao Yao left the mansion and carefully placed the five supercats at the back of his car. He then drove the van into a secluded corner before he parked it. By then, Baiquan was who unconscious in the vehicle had already regained woken up and repented, “Boss, I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry.”

“What are you apologizing for? You are still a rookie, it is impossible for you to overcome the ambush by the 4 of them,” Zhao Yao said with a kind smile on his face.

Baiquan was a little confused and started asking, “Boss, who are those few people? Why do they also have a superpower?”

Zhao Yao knew that he could no longer keep up with the lie. He decided to divulge some information regarding the supercats and apostles.

“After a cat awakens its superpower, it can lend this power to human beings. These humans who have received the power are known as apostles,” Baiquan could not believe his ears. He just mumbled, “So this is how it all works.” Baiquan had started suspecting the cats after spending the past month in the café. His encounter with the apostles and Zhao Yao’s words only confirmed his hypothesis.

“Your power of invisibility is given to you by Roly Poly. We have a few supercats at our café, each with their unique power. Shi Yu is an official sent by the government, so she can be considered a liaison between the government and us,” Zhao Yao explained.

“The government knows about this?”

“Of course, if not how do you think I was able to open this café? This opportunity was only given to me because I’m the strongest apostle in Jiangmen city,” Zhao Yao could sense that Baiquan was trying hard to process all these information. Zhao Yao continued, “The apostle’s world is a dangerous world. Your encounter today is a good example. If you’re unlucky, you might get killed. I’ll be sending you back to the café; I won’t stop you if you decide to leave.”

“Leave?” Baiquan said as he raised his brow. He continued excitedly, “How can I leave? After spending so many years in the relentless rat race, I have a whole new world staring right at me. It’s a chance that not many are given. How can I leave? I’m more than excited to join you.”

Zhao Yao rolled his eyes when he realized Baiquan was bent on continuing down this path as an apostle. Zhao Yao had already said his piece.He knew that Baiquan was not an evil person or whatsoever, he was just a little idealistic.

Furthermore, supercats registered in his BOOK cannot lend their powers to other apostles. Hence, he did not have to worry about Baiquan abusing Matcha’s power.

“Whatever makes you happy,” Zhao Yao said as he shrugged his shoulders. He continued, “However, we have to take care of the three men and five cats here.”

Baiquan stared at them viciously and asked, “Do you want me to throw them into the bottom of the sea or should I chop their body into pieces?”

“F*ck you! Who said anything about destroying their bodies?” Zhao Yao immediately slapped Baiquan on his face. Zhao Yao said, “Leave them to the police. However, there are some things for us to do to prevent the police from suspecting us before I hand them over to Inspector Ho.”

Zhao Yao already had an idea to contact Inspector Ho using an anonymous phone. However, Ho Hao Cang’s death complicated the entire situation.

“This is going to be quite troublesome. Why did Ho Hao Cang have to die? I’m not sure what Inspector Ho would do when he receives the news.”

“Now, I need to focus on removing any evidence that might lead to the police suspecting me. The wounds on their bodies were all inflicted using hand grenade so it won’t implicate me. I’ve also destroyed the security footages in his mansion.

All that was left were the testimony given by these three guys. I will just use my illusion to implant a fake memory in their head,” Zhao Yao’s lips had already curled into a smile at the thought of it.

Zhao Yao looked towards Baiquan, Roly Poly, Dust Ball and asked, “Do you know what’s their reason for coming to the café?”

Dust Ball hesitated for a moment before replying, “I think they’re here for a cat.”

Baiquan continued, “Oh yes! They kept asking if I knew where you were and whether I knew where earthquake cat was.”

“Earthquake cat?” Zhao Yao was stunned by Baiquan’s response. He thought, “How did they know that earthquake cat was in my hands?”

However, Zhao Yao did not give it further thought as his priority was to prevent the police from suspecting him.

During the previous encounter, Golden-Haired, Four-Eyed and Ah Tao were robbed of their senses and did not even see Zhao Yao’s face. To them, they only saw the van turning into this small street before they went unconscious.

Zhao Yao thought, “So it’s up to my creativity to fill in the blanks.”

Zhao Yao used his illusion to penetrate into their brains and filled it up with an elaborately constructed story. What they saw, heard, experienced in the next half an hour were what Zhao Yao wanted to show them to get himself off the hook.

The three of them in the van had a different experience compared to butler Xia. Instead of seeing Zhao Yao’s Super Saiyan strength, they were just robbed of their senses and fell unconscious.

In Zhao Yao’s carefully constructed story, they were attacked by a golden-haired woman. She took away one cat from the cages after defeating them. However, butler Xia managed to take it back in the end.

Butler Xia ran back to the mansion to ask Hao Cang for reinforcement. The woman quickly chased behind while they followed behind her.

However, the woman’s combat prowess was just too strong. She was spot on with every shot she took and easily dodged all their attacks. Then, she started killing Ho Hao Cang, butler Xia, and the five supercats.

The cat that she tried to steal was earthquake cat in disguise. This intensified the battle between them.

After the last grenade’s explosion, the three of them were knocked unconscious by the impact. However, they saw Ho Hao Cang and butler Xia running towards the garden before they fainted.

Zhao Yao had implanted this intricate false memory in their head. To them, this was the truth.

In the false memory, the golden-haired woman who killed Ho Hao Cang was Isabella.

“She is a CIA agent; I’m sure she can handle it.”

Zhao Yao nodded his head and continued, “Isabella had used a mysterious power to disguise earthquake cat and hid it in Zhao Yao’s café. However, Ho Hao Cang realized, and after a heated discussion, Isabella killed him and took away the cat.”

Baiquan saw the three men lying unconscious in the hall and asked, “Is it okay to just leave them here? This is a really secluded place with no one around. It might take some time before anyone realized that something had happened.”

“Don’t worry, I’ve already controlled a passerby and used him to contact the police, they’ll be here soon.” Zhao Yao started giving his head a gentle massage. The perfect illusion which he had used over the past two days had taken a toll on his body.

It was worse after constructing the false memory for the three apostles. There was a throbbing pain in his head.

Baiquan asked, “How about the bodies at the garden? Are we going to leave them there?”

Zhao Yao shook his head when he heard Baiquan’s question, “It’s okay. It fits the story where they self-detonated using the hand grenade. Let’s go now; Inspector Ho will be here soon.”

Zhao Yao immediately expelled his Panamera from his belly and placed all the cats inside it.

Baiquan’s forehead furrowed and asked, “Wouldn’t the security cameras catch us if we go on the highway?”

“It is natural for us to be caught on the camera since our movement was already captured when we were traveling towards the mansion,” Zhao Yao chucked, “However, we were not involved in the fight. We were just alerted by our sources and came here. But we saved the cats from the van and escaped.”

“Just like this, we would have evidence and testimony which would point towards Isabella. They might start questioning us during their investigation. Remember to stick to this story.”

“I understand.”

Zhao Yao then sped down the highway towards his café.

A thought flashed past his head while he was driving, “There shouldn’t be much problem on Inspector Ho’s side. However, what am I supposed to do with these five cats?”

Suddenly, new words appeared on his mission panel again.
