Chapter 1713 Warm Family

Zhao Wu ran out without looking back. He only returned after lunch was ready, still carrying the piglet in his arms.

"How long do you intend to carry it around?" Qiao Mei asked.

Zhao Wu said with a pitiful expression, "The ducks in your courtyard come in pairs and there are also two pigs. I'm the only one who's all alone. I must break up these two pigs! Let them have a taste of separation!"

"My husband and I are going home for a while. The chickens, ducks, geese and pigs cannot be left unfed. I need to trouble Sister-in-law to take care of them for me," Qiao Mei said.

"I thought it's something serious! Leave this to me!" Liu Yun said firmly.

Qiao Mei put down the things in her hand and turned to run home. As she ran off, she said, "Thank you, Sister-in-law!"

"You! Why do you give me so many things! Don't run so fast! Be careful!" Liu Yun said anxiously.

Qiao Mei was the pregnant one but Liu Yun was the one who was extremely anxious all the time. She would get really worried whenever she saw Qiao Mei behaving like this. In the past, she also thought that she was in good health and could continue to do manual work when she was pregnant with her first child. In the end, she suffered a miscarriage. From then on, she never really recovered. Although she gave birth to a few children after that, her health was no longer as good as before.

She rushed over to Qiao Mei's house furiously but only managed to catch sight of Qiao Mei driving away in the car.

"Of course. I drive even better than your big brother! You have to learn from me in the future!" Qiao Mei said proudly.

The three of them chatted and laughed along the way while the two children slept soundly. They finally reached the courtyard house at night. Qiao Mei had called home in advance and Feng Hua and Xu Kang had prepared a table full of dishes to welcome Qiao Mei and the rest.

Everyone ate happily. Qiao Qiang took a liking to Zhao Wu and even told him many stories about his younger days as a soldier. The two of them got along very well.
