Chapter 83: 083 Being Used?

“No one likes to be used.” Shen Yan remembered what Fu Hang had done, and the smile on her face faded slightly.

“President Fu?”

Shen Yan raised her eyes to look at Lu Yan and blinked in confusion. “You can read minds?”

Lu Yan shook his head, chuckling lightly.

“Red wine tastes the best.” Shen Yan smiled, as she shook her glass with red wine in it and drank it in one gulp.

Her slender and fair neck got revealed, as she raised her head to drink the wine. Lu Yan was a little stunned by the sight, but he came back to his senses quickly and lowered his eyes silently.

Shen Yan recalled her efforts to please Fu Hang previously. She used to believe that Fu Hang would definitely fall in love with her in the future, as love could develop with time.

She realized that she was just a fool in Fu Hang’s eyes after knowing Fu Hang only had Lin Tao in his heart. If she had known that Fu Hang loved Lin Tao so much back then, she would have certainly left.

If she had not thought it through, she did not know how many more years she would be deceived by Fu Hang.

Lu Yan’s heart ached slightly, as he looked at Shen Yan, who had a somewhat despondent look. However, he was still smiling brightly as he asked, “Do you want to go on an adventure?”

Shen Yan looked at Lu Yan puzzledly. “What adventure?”

“You’ll find out later.” After Lu Yan said that, he finished the red wine in his hand and walked out.

As Shen Yan watched Lu Yan leave, the confusion in her eyes grew.

Chen Nian walked over from the side and followed Shen Yan’s line of sight. Then, she retracted his gaze and looked at Shen Yan in perplexity. She inquired, “What did Film Emperor Lu say to you just now?”

Chen Nian had been secretly observing Shen Yan and Lu Yan. When she was very inquisitive about what the two of them had talked about.

“I’m not telling you.” Shen Yan picked up a fruit from the side and ate it slowly. She looked at Chen Nian with interest and asked curiously, “How are you and Officer Yu doing?”

Chen Nian’s face instantly fell at the mention of Officer Yu. She pouted in dissatisfaction and muttered, “Well, I pounced on him and ate him up. However, I woke up the next morning to find out that he had disappeared, and his phone is turned off!”

Shen Yan paused and turned to look at Chen Nian. “Could he have gone on a mission?”

Chen Nian was at a loss for words.

Shen Yan pondered for a moment and questioned, “Did he not leave a message before he left?”

“No.” Chen Nian shook her head.

“Well, we can talk about it when he returns!” Shen Yan comforted.

Not long after, Shen Yan saw Lu Yan come in from outside. He walked up to Shen Yan with his long legs.

Chen Nian had good senses and quickly retreated to the side. She was also hoping that Shen Yan would hurry up and get together with Lu Yan already.

“They’re here.” When Lu Yan said this, he inclined his head and looked outside the door.

Following Lu Yan’s gaze, Shen Yan saw Lin Xing and a young woman standing at the hotel entrance.

Lin Xing had already changed into a crescent-white gown.

The young woman next to her was wearing a white gown. Her hair was tied up high, and her figure was skinny.

“Lin Tao is standing next to Lin Xing.” Lu Yan turned his head, uttering to Shen Yan.

It was Shen Yan’s first time seeing Lin Tao. She had just been irked at herself for being used as a shield. However, her hatred for Fu Hang soared when she saw Lin Tao’s withered and thin appearance.

“Should we go over and say hello?” Lu Yan looked at Shen Yan with a smile and asked softly.

Shen Yan pursed her lips for a moment and did not say anything.

“Aren’t you unable to swallow that anger?” Lu Yan probed.

“What are you going to do?” Shen Yan really could not just swallow this anger.

She was the young miss of the Shen family. When had she ever suffered such grievance!

She could not accept how Fu Hang had played her like a fool from the very beginning.

Lu Yan took out two glasses of wine from the tray of a waiter passing by and handed one to Shen Yan. He called the waiter over and whispered a few words to the waiter.

The waiter nodded before leaving.
