Chapter 492: 492 Helpless

Chen Nian felt a little disappointed at she had missed Fu Hang’s proposal, but she knew about Shen Yan’s personality. The idea of proposing in private would be comfortable for her.

In addition, Fu Hang had prepared a video showing his pursuit of Shen Yan and disseminated it to all the major advertising outlets. It became immediately popular, and one could say it was a national sensation.

Shen Yan, who everyone envied, had nevertheless already fallen asleep.

After Fu Hang emerged from the shower, he observed that Shen Yan had already fallen asleep and her blanket was pressed to the side.

Fu Hang silently climbed onto the bed and removed the blanket from beneath her. Before turning off the lights and snuggling down next to Shen Yan, he softly covered her body.

The night was getting darker.

A car stopped in front of the apartment complex. A man was smoking. Lu Yan had stood there for some time.

The night wind was becoming very chilly. He suffered from a headache and coughed twice.

He witnessed Fu Hang clutching Shen Yan’s hand and then proceeded to the elevator. Consequently, Lu Yan forced himself not to follow.

“What can I do at this point? Do I cause trouble and make Shen Yan unhappy? Or am I going to watch them love each other and give them my blessings?” he thought.

The following morning, when Shen Yan awakened, she was in Fu Hang’s arms. He was fast asleep.

She wanted to leave but feared waking up Fu Hang, so she could only let him hold her.

The curtains were drawn tightly, and the room was dark, warm, and quiet.

Shen Yan was about to remove Fu Hang’s hand from hers, but he embraced her even more tightly.

“Good morning, Darling,” replied Fu Hang sleepily.

His voice was somewhat muffled, as he had just risen. It was so seductive that it was mesmerizing.

Shen Yan looked at Fu Hang and was going to speak, but he stroked her face with the stubble on his chin on purpose.

“It’s itchy.” Shen Yan smiled and steers clear of his chin. She inquired, “What time is it now?”

Fu Hang took the phone from the side table and stated, “7:30”

After saying so, Fu Hang held Shen Yan even tighter. He placed his chin on her head and murmured, “Let’s lie down for a little while more?”

Shen Yan grinned and stated, “I’ll make breakfast for you today. Lie down and sleep for a while more!”

Fu Hang listened to Shen Yan’s words but did not release his grip on her. “How about eating some dumplings?”

Shen Yan smiled and leaned into his arms. She remained in bed till the alarm clock went off. It was only then did the two of them rise.

Shen Yan got out of bed, walked to the French window, and pulled open the drapes.

It was already bright outside.

After Shen Yan washed up and tidied herself up, she took her phone. As soon as she opened it, she saw numerous messages had been sent to her.

Last night’s video of Fu Hang’s proposal to her was already publicly known. The messages were all congratulatory messages for Shen Yan. There were also some people who were asking Shen Yan when she was planning to hold the wedding.

Chen Nian’s message, however, was the most absurd. She sent out ten queries immediately and then asked, “Yanyan, tell me the truth. Am I going to be your child’s godmother soon?”

Shen Yan could not help but chuckle when she saw this and immediately sent a GIF depicting a 10-meter-long knife being waved.

Shen Yan had just finished sending the emoji and was still on the chat screen. Fu Hang took Shen Yan’s phone from her and smiled as he read the chat logs between Shen Yan and Chen Nian. “Indeed, we shouldn’t disappoint Miss Chen’s wishes.”

When Shen Yan heard Fu Hang’s words, she could not help but turn red. “Chen Nian always speaks without thinking,” she added with a speechless expression as she reclaimed the phone. “Don’t pay her any attention!”

Fu Hang’s phoenix-like eyes flashed with a smile as he said, “Dear is right. I’ll listen to everything you say. You can have a baby whenever she wants!”
