Chapter 104: 104 I’ll Wait for Your Call

The next day, Shen Yan got out of her bed lazily. She brought her phone over from her pillow casually. There must have been a lot of people who were so ‘excited’ last night that they could not sleep a wink!

She turned on her phone and saw that there were a lot of unread messages. Many people were asking her about what had happened.

Just as she was about to read the messages, her phone rang. Seeing that it was from Chen Nian, she put her phone to her ear.

“You’re up early.” As Shen Yan spoke, she pulled the curtains back and walked out of the bedroom in her slippers. She saw Chen Nian, who was sitting on the couch with a demoralized expression. She smiled and hung up the phone.

“I don’t want to get up early either.” Chen Nian scowled and got up from the couch. She walked quickly to Shen Yan and complained in dissatisfaction, “Lu Yan almost blew up my phone with his calls. He disturbed my quiet morning with Officer Yu. Officer Yu even suspected that I was cheating!”

The corners of Shen Yan’s lips hooked up involuntarily, and she asked curiously, “Where’s Officer Yu? Do you want me to help you explain?”

“He went to the police station! I’m telling you, you have to treat me and Officer Yu to a meal to comfort our injured hearts,” Chen Nian exclaimed. She took out her phone and flipped through her call log. Then, she handed it to Shen Yan. “Look, he’s been calling since six in the morning!”

Shen Yan chuckled even harder. She looked at Chen Nian sympathetically and said, “All right, I’ll treat you guys to a meal next time!”

“By the way, Lu Yan sent the porridge to me at eight in the morning. He said that he was afraid of waking you up,” Chen Nian looked at Shen Yan with a scrutinizing face and asked, “He made this porridge himself. Lu Yan really knows how to court girls. How about you? Are you tempted at all?”

The smile on Shen Yan’s face froze. She lowered her eyes slightly and remained silent.

Chen Nian looked at Shen Yan suspiciously and was about to speak when a familiar male voice came from behind her.

“Good morning. Has your cold gotten better?”

“Good morning,” Shen Yan said with a smile, directly ignoring Chen Nian’s question. “Thank you. I’ve really troubled you these past two days. From now on, you…”

Shen Yan was about to tell him not to send any more food when she was interrupted by Lu Yan. “You must be hungry. Come and have breakfast!”

“Thanks.” Shen Yan was indeed a little hungry, so she did not make any formalities.

She was about to go to the kitchen to get a bowl, but she did not expect Lu Yan to walk to the kitchen first.

Chen Nian stood at the side with a smile and teased, “Film Emperor Lu, you really treat this place like your own home!”

As Shen Yan listened, she tugged at Chen Nian’s arm under the table, signaling at her to not spout nonsense.

Lu Yan smiled gently and replied, “As long as Yanyan agrees.”

Chen Nian noticed that Lu Yan was looking at Shen Yan affectionately. As she wanted to set them up, she left with a smile.

Now, there were only Shen Yan and Lu Yan left in the room. Lu Yan scooped two bowls of porridge, handing one to Shen Yan and the other in front of himself.

“You’ve just recovered, so you should eat something light. If you don’t have an appointment at noon, can I take you somewhere to eat?” Lu Yan looked at Shen Yan and inquired gently.

Shen Yan’s hand holding the spoon paused slightly. She thought of the matter at the company and raised her eyes to look at him. She said apologetically, “Sorry, the company is a little busy currently. Why don’t I treat you to a meal some other day?”

Lu Yan smiled and agreed.

After eating breakfast, Lu Yan got up and left, walking to the door of the house, looking back at Shen Yan, with a bright light in his peach blossom eyes, “I’ll wait for your call.”

After breakfast, Lu Yan got up and left. He walked to the door and turned to look at Shen Yan. His peach blossom eyes sparkled. “I’ll wait for your call.”

Shen Yan smiled and responded.

Chen Nian walked out from the opposite door and repeated like a parrot, “I’ll wait for your call.”

Shen Yan looked at Chen Nian helplessly. “Don’t be like this.”
