Lin Qingqian’s Identity

Lin Qingqian’s breathing froze. She looked down at his well-defined fingers holding her feet. The faint warmth on his fingertips seemed to be seeping into her skin and flowing into her blood.

Actually, this was not the first time Jiang Yanshen had put on shoes for her.

She still remembered that when she was in her third year of university, she had walked for an entire day and her feet were covered in blisters. She took the opportunity to call Jiang Yanshen and pestered him to pick her up.

After her classmates had left, she waited alone at the school gate for a long, long time, thinking that he would not come. Just as she was about to cry, Jiang Yanshen got out of the car and stared at her feet. He said that she deserved it.

With that, he squatted down in front of her and helped her take off her sneakers. He threw them into the trash can and carried her into the car.

The grievance in her heart instantly dissipated with his actions.

It turned out that they had some good memories between them. At some point, these warm memories that she thought could support her to accompany him for the rest of her life were all forgotten.

Jiang Yanshen put on her shoes for her and stood up to extend his arm in front of her. He raised his eyebrows and gestured.

If not for the small mole at the corner of Lin Qingqian’s eye, Lu Yuan would have suspected that someone who looked like Lin Qingqian was standing with Director Jiang.

Lu Yuan was stunned for a moment and even forgot to open the car door for them.

Lin Qingqian lifted her skirt and sat in the car, leaning closely against the door, putting a large distance between her and Jiang Yanshen.

Jiang Yanshen got into the car and glanced at her indifferently before instructing the driver to drive.

The birthday banquet was held in a very private club. Those who could appear at such an occasion were either from famous families or elites of society. There were also some socialites from wealthy families who took this opportunity to get to know people of the opposite sex of the same age and status to plan their future marriage.

Lin Qingqian and Jiang Yanshen entered the venue together. Most of the guests had already arrived and they instantly attracted some gazes.

One was for her beauty and temperament, and the other was because she was standing beside Jiang Yanshen.

Jiang Yanshen kept a low profile and rarely participated in public events. Even if he wanted to attend a banquet, his female companion was a secretary arranged by the company. He had never brought a strange woman to such an occasion.

For a moment, everyone secretly guessed Lin Qingqian’s identity.

Jiang Yanshen’s handsome facial features were indifferent. He was already used to those gazes, but Lin Qingqian was not used to it.

It was not that she was having stage fright, but because this was the first time she had appeared in front of everyone with Jiang Yanshen, she could not help but feel nervous and uneasy.
