Chapter 45 The Last Straw

Xia Xiaoluo suddenly stopped and turned around. She was annoyed when she saw Fang Ruichen leaning against the glass door of the dance room. Why is this jerk everywhere? How could he follow me to the dance room?

Seeing that she frowned, Fang Ruichen felt somewhat happy, pacing to her side with a bad smile and taking out a stack of photos.

“Xia Xiaoluo, do you think after you broke my mobile phone, I’ll do nothing with you? Look at these!” Fang Ruichen was very proud of himself with a smug smile.

After he bought Xia Jingru’s phone, he immediately drove home and printed the photos with a color-printing machine. Then, he hurried back to the school to find Xia Xiaoluo.

After asking around, he finally learnt that she was in the dance room.

“Fang Ruichen, you are always doing this kind of pranks. Don’t you feel bored?” Xia Xiaoluo said while tearing up the photos one by one.

“Absolutely not. Just tear them. I have a backup. Tear as many as you may, I’ll just print them again.” Fang Ruichen threw his large backpack on the ground and sat on the floor, watching Xia Xiaoluo tearing up those photos.

“You’re so childish! What on earth do you want?” Xia Xiaoluo threw the rest of the photos in her hand on Fang Ruichen’s head, and then put her hands on the waist, staring at Fang Ruichen from the above.

“Answer me, who was the man with you yesterday?” Fang Ruichen mentioned the question again.

Xia Xiaoluo was stunned. Ling Tianyi had said they should keep their marriage a secret, and she mustn’t blurt it out. However, if she wouldn’t tell him, she feared that the guy would defame her with more harsh words. He had the photos, so she couldn’t go head-to-head against him.

Xia Xiaoluo thought for a little while and told him, “A relative.”

“Eldership?” Fang Ruichen continued.

“What if he is? What? You don’t want to revenge, do you?” Xia Xiaoluo asked back, for she thought Ling Tianyi was not a good target of revenge. If this guy dared to do that, it would be asking for trouble.

Fang Ruichen smiled and helped her pick up the shredded paper on the ground, “Good kid never drops litter.”

“Are you out of your mind?” Xia Xiaoluo wanted to kick him, but she got a hold of herself, for it occurred to her that he had some evidence in his hand.

Following Fang Ruichen, who went to throw the scraps into the trash, she said, “Hey, listen, haven’t you played enough tricks on me? Please delete those photos!”

“No, I haven’t, and I don’t want to delete them now.” Fang Ruichen didn’t listen to her. She gnashed her teeth in anger.

“What on earth do you want? Let’s make a deal!” Xia Xiaoluo asked in anger.

“Xia Xiaoluo, you were arrogant, weren’t you? You dared to kick me. Why do you cower now? If you want a deal, I’ll do it with you! From now on, you must listen to me and do what I ask you to do. After three months, I’ll delete all the copies of those photos.”

As Fang Ruichen gave his requirements, Xia Xiaoluo immediately began to bargain, “No, just one week.”

“Two months!” Fang Ruichen compromised.

“Just a week.” Xia Xiaoluo insisted.

“One month. There’s no room for negotiation!” One month was his baseline, and it couldn’t be shorter, or he would have less fun from it.

“One week!”

“One month! If you disagree, I’ll post the photos on the BBS at once.”

“Okay, just one month!”

In the end, they reached an agreement.

“Fang Ruichen, although I agree to obey your orders for one month, you can’t ask me to do anything bad or dangerous. What’s more, you must promise you won’t reveal the photos in one month; otherwise, I won’t let you go!” Xia Xiaoluo pointed at Fang Ruichen’s nose with an uppity look.

He pushed her hand aside, “I am a decent man. How can I ask you to do something bad or dangerous? Moreover, as long as you don’t break the agreement, I’ll never let the photos out. I promise with my integrity.”

“You! You’re not a decent man, and you have nothing to do with integrity! Ugh!” Xia Xiaoluo said with scorn.

“Xia Xiaoluo, I don’t care if you’re satisfied or not. Your master now is very thirsty. Go downstairs and buy me some cold water immediately. This is my first order!” Fang Ruichen began to exercise his power at once. Xia Xiaoluo was very angry; still, she stepped out of the dance room.

Xia Xiaoluo had left for over half an hour. Fang Ruichen’s patience was wearing thin.

Finally, Xia Xiaoluo went back with a bottle of pure water. She wiped away her sweat, throwing the bottle to him.

“Little Pig Xia, why are you so slow? I think you’re not just like a pig, but also as slow as a turtle.” He was not thirsty at all, and it was even not an urgent matter; however, he became interested in how it took her over half an hour to buy a bottle of water.

“What’s more, what brand is it? I won’t have the runs, will I?” Fang Ruichen looked at the water and didn’t dare to drink it.

Xia Xiaoluo felt so hot that she was about to go crazy, so she immediately snatched the bottle, “I’ll drink it if you don’t want to. I’m thirsty!”

Xia Xiaoluo crossed her legs sitting on the floor, unscrewed the cap, and drank more than half the bottle in one breath.

“Hey! It’s mine!” Fang Ruichen was upset. She had been gone for over half an hour. And the water she bought for him was drunk by her in the end.

Xia Xiaoluo rolled her eyes, “It’s you who didn’t want it. Here you are. There’s still a little left. Drink it or not!”

Fang Ruichen took it with an evil smile and came closer to her, “Little Pig Xia, you’re interested in me, right? You want an indirect kiss with me?”

“You wish!” She turned her head to the other side, avoiding looking at his hippie face.

Fang Ruichen looked at the bottle for a while, unscrewed the cap and drank all the water left.

“Now you are not afraid of having the runs, are you?” Xia Xiaoluo asked.

“You drank it first. I have nothing to be afraid of. You little fool, did you get lost on campus? There’s a shop under this building, it’s five or six minutes’ walk at most, but you’ve spent over half an hour. Where did you go?” said Fang Ruichen, moving closer to her.

“You are a fool! Do you think everyone is like you? Eat your head off every day, and know nothing about what a life an ordinary person lives? Do you know, the cheapest water in that shop costs over ten yuan, but that in the supermarket outside the campus just one.”

“So, you mean you went out of the campus and bought me the water?” Fang Ruichen looked at her with widened eyes and didn’t believe what she said.

“Yeah! Do you mean I should be a fool and spend over ten yuan on a bottle of water?” Although she had much money with her, her idea on consumption didn’t change, and she was not willing to spend money on unnecessary things.

“It’s very hot today, even in the late fall! Didn’t you get sunstroke running out like that?” Fang Ruichen said and attempted to touch her forehead with his hand. However, before he reached her, his hand was pushed aside by Xia Xiaoluo.

“Are you okay?” Fang Ruichen felt a bit embarrassed, “Actually, if you are short of money, just tell me. I’ll offer the fund, and you buy things for me.”

“No need to bother!” Xia Xiaoluo stared at him, which made him suddenly feel a little intimidated.

“But, you’re not like a child from a poor family! You went to the most high-end seafood restaurant in City A, and your relative looks like a big cheese.” It seemed like that Fang Ruichen was either asking her, or talking to himself.

Xia Xiaoluo didn’t want to speak with him anymore. She stood up and walked towards the door.

“Hey, where are you going?” Fang Ruichen hurriedly followed her to the door.

“Please, Big Pig Fang, I need to go to the washroom. Do you wanna follow me?” Xia Xiaoluo turned back and said angrily.

His mind went blank for a little while, but quickly recovered, “Go, I allow you. Hurry back! You’ve got one minute only.”

Xia Xiaoluo didn’t care about his one-minute regulation at all! Nobody could use merely one minute in the washroom; at least, she couldn’t.

Xia Xiaoluo wanted to calm down in the washroom, and she planned to run away through this way, leaving that creepy guy. However, it suddenly hit her that he had the evidence, so she just washed her hands and walked out.

“Ah!” As soon as she stepped out of the washroom, she saw Fang Ruichen standing still at the door like a utility pole.

“Fang Ruichen, you’re a pervert. You followed me here?” Xia Xiaoluo was extremely unhappy, feeling being monitored.

“Little Pig Xia, please pay attention to your wording. First, I’m not a pervert. Second, I’m not in, jut at the door.”

“Third?” Xia Xiaoluo asked impatiently.

“Third, I wanna know whether you’ve fallen into the toilet. It took you five minutes. I think one minute is enough!”

“Oh, I forgot. Little Pig Xia is a girl. Girls always have several days feeling uneasy every month! Okay, I can understand.”

He said slowly, and it seemed it was not improper for a man to mention that at all.

Xia Xiaoluo didn’t want to reply. She went back to the dance room angrily, slumping on the floor.

“Come on, you’re in an unusual period. Don’t sit on the ground. It’s cold, and you’ll have a stomachache. I won’t be able to save you if that happens.” It seemed that Fang Ruichen was sure her Aunt Flow visited her, and he kept blabbing.

“Fang Ruichen, why are you so shameless? Why do you care about girls’ stuff so much? Listen, my Aunt Flow does not visit me, and she won’t in the short run. Stop worrying for nothing.”

“Really?” Fang Ruichen didn’t believe her, “Then, why did you stay that long in the washroom?”

Xia Xiaoluo didn’t know what to say. How could there be such an evil man? Now he had controlled her because he had the evidence. Otherwise, she would have already kicked him away to the North Pole.

“Little Pig Xia, don’t be shy and admit it! I won’t laugh at you. It’s not a big deal. Let me find some Bak Foong Pills for you, and then you won’t feel painful.”

“Fang Ruichen!” Xia Xiaoluo yelled at him, for she could not bear it anymore. It was the last straw.
