Jiang Yuyan who never wished to lose into it, could not stop but go into trance as he listened to the song carefully. She even forgot to drink the juice she held in her hand and continued to hear that long song he had prepared.

It must be the effect of that calm atmosphere around and that pleasant cold breeze that turned the atmosphere into a romantic one as the song continued to play.

Lu Lijun finished singing and looked at her, who was still lost. He smiled and said, "Seems like I have to keep singing always to turn you like this."

Jiang Yuyan got back to her senses, "I..I was wondering when did you learn guitar."

"I believe you," he said and explained. "When I was not well after that kidnapping incident, brother Lu Feng used to sing for me once in a while and he taught me how to play it."

She looked at him in awe as he was so young at that time.

"You should know your husband is extraordinarily smart and intelligent to remember and learn such things easily," Lu Lijun answered her unspoken question.

Hearing the word husband she frowned and at that the guy was praising himself. 'Narcissist!'

He gave her a meaningful look and said, "But there are few things I have never learned but I can do it really well."

She gave him a questioning look and he said, maintaining a stern face, "You have experienced it. Don't tell me I am bad because I know I am good."

Cough!

She choked on the juice and cursed him in her mind. 'Shameless!'

He stood up and grabbed the tissue papers to help her with spilled juice. He dabbed her chin and lips with them and she glared at him.

"Do you want to say something?" he asked.

She could only frown inwardly and he pecked on her lips, leaning down to reach her face. "I was talking about this and more," he said.

"Go back to your place," she ordered coldly or she didn't know what he would do next.

Lu Lijun listened to her and went to sit on his chair. "Should we cut the cake?"

"There is nothing to celebrate about cutting the cake," she said.

"I know, see there is nothing written on the cake so you can just cut it normally. We can eat it. I am sure you must be hungry by now," he said.

Jiang Yuyan looked at the cake and there was nothing written on it other than just a pretty design drawn.

It was a good thing but his actions surprised her. If he arranged everything thinking it's their wedding anniversary then it was normal to have it written on the cake but there was nothing. She could never understand the way his mind worked.

Lu Lijun knew she would never cut the cake if there was something written on it so he preferred to keep it as it is.

Lu Lijun stood up and went on her side as he stood next to her leaned down handing her a knife.

This guy, never let go of a chance to get closer.

Jiang Yuyan held the knife and Lu Lijun held her hand. She looked up at him and glared at him coldly.

"I want to cut it too," he said.

"Are you a kid?"

"I want to cut it with my wife," he added.

She cursed in her mind as she couldn't say it to him. 'Who is your wife? I am not the one. Go find someone else. How dare you call me wife again and again.'

If she had said it loudly to him, she was sure it would only provoke him and there was no way she could stop him from acting scary. Jiang Yuyan let him hold her hand as they cut the cake.

Lu Lijun picked up the small piece and held it in front of her. She looked at him and he signaled her with eyes that she had to eat it. Jiang Yuyan had the tiny bite out of that small piece and he kept looking at her.

"What? Eat on your own," she replied and picked up the tissue to clean her lips that had cake cream left on it.

"As you wish," Lu Lijun held her hand before she could touch the tissue paper to her lips and her lips got covered with something moist and warm and the coarse flesh licked her lips.

It was fast and momentary that even before she could push him away after coming out of the shock, he let her go and said, "Happy wedding anniversary, wifey."

"You.." her face turned red due to anger as all she could do was greet her teeth and clench her fists.

"Didn't you say- eat on your own?" he asked. "Cake never tasted better than this,"

"You brought me here for this?" she said coldly, trying to suppress her anger so she would not say something hurting to him, and stood up to leave.

Lu Lijun hurried to her and pulled her towards him as hugged her and spoke, "Don't go! Just for tonight. Later I won't be around you to trouble you."

'Won't be around?' These words were enough to change her from angry to worried and she calmed down. 'Where is he going?'

Whatever she did, she couldn't stop herself feeling worried over thinking he would go away. She had enough and never wanted anyone in her life to go away from her.

She relaxed and asked, letting him hug her, "Where are you going?"

Still holding her, he moved his head back and asked, "Do you want me to keep troubling you?"

She ignored what he said and asked, "Answer me first," the worry was evident in her eyes.

"Have to go out for some work," he replied, looking into her worry-filled eyes.

"How long?" she asked.

"Few days to a week," he replied.

The conversation between them was so smooth as if they were really a husband and wife where the wife was questioning and the husband was answering the way it would make her feel better. Moreover, she was still in his embrace and didn't even realize it.

"Don't go anywhere without having San Zemin's men with you. I will arrange for it," she said.

Seeing her so worried about him, he could only feel delighted. 'And this woman acts as if I am nobody to her.' he smiled lightly.

Noticing that smile on his lips, Jiang Yuyan realized he was still holding her closer, Lu Lijun knew she would push him away so he let her go before she acted.

He fixed her hair strands that were displaced due to the breeze and spoke, "I have something else for you."

She couldn't dare ask what it is as she could never expect something from him that won't shock her.

Lu Lijun pulled out a small box from the inner pocket of his jacket. From the brand logo on it, one could see it was the jewelry.

Lu Lijun opened it to let her see what was inside it and said, "For you."

She stared at the tiny pendant which had two tiny hearts linked together woven into a delicate chain and then looked at Lu Lijun, "I can't."

Lu Lijun knew she would never remove the gift from Lu Qiang and he too didn't want her to remove it. "I am not asking you to remove what you are wearing. Neither I am asking you to wear this right away. Keep it with you and the day when you think you can accept me, you can wear it along with what you already have."
